even if it comes back personally i'd say the mustange won the pony car war by not dieing... the only one of the big 3 automakers that never stoped making a pony car

We've known this for about 3 years. The only reason the mustang is still being produced and the camaro isn't is because Ford actually knows how to market vehicles. The 4th gen camaros (93-02) out performed the mustang in every aspect(except the 98 or 99 and up cobras), GM just did a horrible job in marketing the camaro.
There is also supposed to be a camaro concept car at the Detroit auto show in January.

If it did somehow come out like that it would be pretty cool. Reminds me of the 67-69 camaros which are my favorite.

mustangs won on sales all but one year. one year only. It was partly marketing. It was also slightly more affordable to get into them. camaro's were USUALLY a tish more. Hell we all should know that the camaro was created specifically to compete with mustangs. A carmaker has to do that when you sell over a million cars of one type of model in 2 years. Camaro's did for the most part out perform them(top model v. top model).
side note: A lot of people talk about the failure of the mustang II also, but the fourth best selling year was the 1974 mustangII.

shit now that you say it i do remeber seeing photos like that a while back....
might be how freaking ugly the last generation cam. was.... that could have played a big part in cam. low sales... 69 was a very sharp car after that the Pont. TA had it all over the cam. on styling and that car was never pushed by GM

that was kind of a whoring coment. Camaro's are what this thread is about. However whenever camaro's are mention mullet's and also mustangs are mentioned. I think it could go for a few years based on nostalgia, but the camaro will again eventually die. Again.
