personally, this is what pisses me off the most "Why did I get a ticket when my muffler is stated to be 50 state legal"...he replied with "Well its not legal in Fargo, ND"...so apparently Fargo is considered the 51st state or somthing according to copsit might be legal in fifty states, but city ordinances still apply....

what fargo NEEDS is a DB limit and cops to have DB meters. It's not right that it's up to what the cop thinks is loud or not...a "speed racer" car's noise level is amplified way more in cops' eyes than trucks or Harley's....also, why would a muffler product say 50 state emmission legal when it doesnt have anything to do with emmissions? They are just noise...non the less, i still think i was fucked...anywho, i'll just deal with it the best i can and hope for the best bc that's all i really can do...it really sux right now though bc $60 is all i have to my name right now...literally. I dont get it though...2 days ago i was followed by a cop for 1-2 miles and they didnt do anything. It was also fairly late at night when the cop followed me too as opposed to 8AM when everybody is going to work/school...IF i was getting on it and it was midnight or somthing like that, then i'd totally deserve the ticket, but it was during the day and i wasnt on it at all...w/e, cops will do what they do when they get bored and dont have anymore doughnuts to eat...

the volume at idle is not the issue.WRONG BLAKE!!!!! So after i got my tires balanced today i decided to go down to the police station and have an officer check my exhaust. I started it, let it idle for LITERALLY 10 seconds and he wrote it off...so im glad that he wrote it off, but there needs to be an agreement among cops on what's loud and whats not. there NEEDS to be a DB meter and limit. anywho, yea....thats what happened.

It's going to be while you're driving that they hear your car, and write you the ticket. I know that when the measure the db of your exhaust they do test it at idle for one of the tests.

I am sure he just wanted to be an ass because he was bored and didn't have anybody else to pick on at the moment. Fuck em....
