Lift the hatch up, there are 4 nuts, then take the hatch completely off the car. Then there are i think 4 nuts that hold the wing on.

I got the factory off. That was easy. Went to bolt the spoon one on and the bolts dont go in all the way so the spoiler is not tight. Thinking im stopping by tintmasters tomorrow sometime and see what they can do with it. I dont want to mess it up. Hope I wont have to pay a shit load. For some reason I think it is an easy fix.

Im not sure what you are describing but i knwo that i had a cut a notch out of the factory metal piece so that the bolts would go in all the way.

As in the bolts to hold the cf spoiler on dont go all the way into it. Not cuz of the hatch brackets but the holes in the cf spoiler are to small or something. NOT SURE

I can't say I blame him here. I did the same for my rear spoiler....bought a Spec-C style carbon fiber piece. Had I bought the real spec-c cf wing I would have spent about $1200 unshipped, as it is I spent ~$350 shipped for the one I have.

As for both tjamz and drift here, they both understand that some items you just dont need to "splurge" on just because of it being the real deal. I myself want a Mugen hood for my car, yet I want a carbon fiber on too. the AUTHENTIC MUGEN hood for my car is approx $1200+ range, not including shipping. NOW, for a damned good VIS or Seibon Mugen STYLE one that is actual carbon fiber and perfect fit, im looking at 1/3-1/2 of that price, shipped. and get this, the real mugen one isn't even carbon fiber. So why would I get a authentic mugen hood? well, just cuz it is mugen, but I just want the style and a carbon fiber one.

Bomex (AND OTHERS...actually, almost all body kits) kits don't NECESSARY fit (MOUNT UP/Align with the holes) for shit either...and they're plenty expensive. Sounds like on his all he needed to do was hone out the holes a bit to get the bolts to go in all the way...that or get different bolts.

Edited for those that were taking what I said out of context, not implying bad gaps from bomex kits, just that the holes aren't always perfect either.

ya, sounds like just need different bolts. On the hand of price, a Vis Spoon style spoiler is in the $260 range plus shipping, while an authentic Spoon one is over $500, at least from what I had found.

Actually scott's bomex and justins fit pretty well from what i remember. way better than the veilside side skirts.. and their kits were only around 1400 with mirrors. not to expensive for a body kit

thanks. i got a lot left to do. I would to paint and body work but as of right now its being driven this winter so that will be next spring. Shooting to get a little drop and some 16 rota circuit 8s in bronze to. So much as long as the money rolls in it will keep changing.

Also i dont see anything wrong with scotts kit. His car is really nice and he hasnt over done anything on it. For having a kit on it and what not i would say its a pretty damn clean car.

I didn't see yours go on, so I can't comment there. The three bomex kits I did see (including scherlings) took a LOT of work to get them to fit right. I watched caleb spend many an hour building up the fiberglass to get a mounting point put on.

Your kit does look good on your car, I didn't see what was required to get it there so I cannot comment. What I was getting at is that most kits (even expensive ones) fit like crap w/o some modifications. Of course, there are always exceptions to any rule on this.

What the hell are you talkin about Chuck? My kit didnt take much at all, Caleb said "It's one of the best fitting kits I have put on." I even think you where there when he said that. That Cavy with the book shelf on the rear bumper is a REPLICA Bomex and took hours upon hours of fitting. Have you even seen my car? Cuz ur talkin like you have never seen it. Mine fits perfect, no body gaps what so ever. The only problem my kit had was one of the side skirts was warped when i got it, and the front bumper hugs a lil tight. Bomex is not expensive by any means, for the quality it is a hell of a deal. List price for my kit is $1245.00 for the full kit. Now for a C-West for my car its $2,000. EVERY bodykit requires "fitting" just some more than others. Sorry i am kinda goin off the deep end cuz Chuck you where there and fitment was never a problem. It just seems like ur a different person when ur on here than when talking to you in person.

uhh....wow.... any thread turned everyone on everyone. I can attest that Bomex kits fit very well out of the box. The knock-offs on the other hand, are just as good as the next korea/taiwan/etc junk kit.

                                          Back TO THE THREAD TOPIC...

Glad you are happy with your wing, looked like a really nice piece when it came in. Sometimes the replica stuff isn't very great quality, but I was pleased with the quality for the price for sure on the spoon style wing!
