Who has tried it?
It was a large download, but I like alot of the new features, but it seems to be bloatware sort off... I dont like how they have started including AOL Explorer and all of that other bullshit along with it, but go figure its AOL lol...
What do you guys think about it? I liked the Tabbed IM's and the away messages and stuff...

I used to use Trillian but when you use trillian in combination with mobile versions of MSN and AIM it fucks up your buddylist, so I stopped using it.
I did pay for Trillian Pro back in the day though...
MSN 7.5 is nice I think... I actually pefer MSN to AIM, and have for a while...

One thing I've noticed is it seems when your an AIM user and talking to an AOL user, the msg comes blank, you have to highlight what they typed to see what the typed out. I just use the old aim instead; however the tabbed features is pretty nice...
I actually use the AOL explorer, from time to time, don't know why.. just cuz Unlike IE you can do tabs for webpages as well. Even though you can w/ Mozilla as well..
But just the petty annoyance with AIM triniton is the fact that the AOL users msg's must show up in white or something; I'm sure there maybe a setting you can change to fix it; but I never looked into it. Any1 know what Im talking about as far as the white text goes? -

as have i. i think it's more advanced then AIM in terms of features and shit. its kinda cool having a 10 person buddy window instead of makin a chat which is ghetto. plus hte handwrighting feature to is cool at times but the nudges and shit get annoying after 30 seconds. -

don't want to pay for the texts anyway, so I'll stay away from mobile IM...

DeadAIM > Aimutation
Just dl the old version of deadaim off oldversion.com and you'll be set. Tabbed windows, talk while away (can do that in the newer version now though) and other stuff too.

Anyone else having the IM probs from actual AOL users..? Where the text doesn't show up, but you can highlight it and see it? j/w

I like loggin the history of msg's on MSN that's kinda neat... has been useful

i still prefer aimutation over any other addon. i used to use nothing but deadaim.. but every once in a while it would uninstall itself. when it actually did work, i got sick of my away message always popping up in a convo window when someone sent me an IM. plus aimutation just has more features. but hey.. whatever floats yer boat.
