Ya you're right, its exactly like toppers, considering I didnt see ANY of these cars at Toppers last year.http://www.jamestownclassiccarclub.com/Toppers%202005/Toppers2005.htm
I dont know if you were being serious or cocky here, but it is like toppers. Yeah not same cars but the same style of show and same types of car. In a lil arena. Thats Toppers, and those pictures look like toppers. That sucks about the trophy stuff. Was there classes at all or was it all one big class? WHat were the classes if they had them??
From the pictures the only thing different that I see is that Toppers has vendors and I dont see in booths in the pics from this show.

Im not goin to sit and compare your photo album from this years winter wheels show to last years toppers car show just cause none of the cars were the same. Either way both shows looked pretty dull... -
The sheet of paper that sat in my window says that i was in no judging class, but i dont know if the judging class was filled in on any of the cars. The poster did say 30+ awards in various classes.....

STiSchucky, krzdrftr93, please invite me to the indoor show you guys put on so I can show up? Seems to me there are only 3 indoor shows that go on in ND. Im sorry if you are disappointed at the turnout of imports, but there's nothing I can do about that, unlike Toppers, we didnt turn anyone away. I can think of at least 5 cars in the show they wouldve replaced with a import, had we had more wanting to show. So I'm sorry you don't feel our show is worth your time. There are a few thousand people that would disagree.
h22d_hatch, wannabe, thanks for showing, 97 jeep, thanks for coming out to the show. Anyone else who may have attended, thanks for coming. Hope to see you all next year or at the summer show.
Ill get to the bottom of the awards and let you guys know.

yea but those few thousand people arent on this board are they, considering about 5 people from fargo moorhead actually went. what kind of question is 'invite me to whatever show you put on?' ok ill put on my own car show. Dude i said " it didnt look interesting, not worth the gas"...did i say it sucked? no. did i say it was a failure..no. whats your problem anyways, cant take a little critcisim? Maybe i, like others on this board, dont wanna travel the great distances to see old cars. Sure, their owners deserve respect for keepin em clean for 40, 50,60 years whatever...but i said its like toppers.well teh car show is over anti bling. see you next december when you start promoting it again.
i dont even care. you made a great post tho.

Not to be an ass here, but of the cars I saw in your pics, I've seen most of them at toppers in the past. I believe toppers has a stipulation that says the same car can't show more than once every 5 years or so...I forget the exact rule, but I know for a fact you can't show up year after year after year with the same car which is why you don't see cars like Stan Orness's yellow Merc there every year, even though I'm sure it would place well every year. I'm sure there were some cars that came to your show that haven't/won't do toppers.
As for the comment about a show that was put on by STiSchucky, you may get your wish later this year, as I have been in contact with another car club (a classic car club) to cosponsor a show between Veritas (which Kirk is a member of) and their club. As I find out more details, I will let you know more.

Toppers has to turn away cars do to that they dont have the space for cars. There are rules on how big there walk ways have to be and how they have cars set up. Both my grandpa and uncle are members of the toppers club. If they could fit more cars they would have more. And "TJAMZ" I believe you just cant have it in every year. I think it is like every 2 years. I dont remember either but like you said you cant have it in there back to back. Thats how you get good turnouts every year is if yo have different cars every year. And stans merc is nice
along with the other 100+ cars they have at toppers. On the subject of car shows has anyone every gone to "Back to the 50's" in the cities. I know its old cars but there are around 12,000 plus cars from '64 or so back. Kick Ass show if you like old cars. Lots of vendors. Its at the MN state fair grounds.

I guess I just assumed there was gonna be something along the lines of a Sport Compact class since Bob at city hall was stressing that we needed more cars like mine in the show to keep the younger generation interested

I assumed they were gonna have a seperate class as well, but next year and even for this summers show I am gonna make sure they have better classes. Peoples choice for cars is too broad for the variety of cars we get.

WAY TOO MUCH TO SEE IN A WEEKEND MUCH LESS ONE DAY... oh and of course with a show that size in July all sorts of supper hott women. If I ever get my lazy ass in gear I'll put up a back to the 50's section on my site and post the pictures that I took and yeah I forgot to empty my 1G mem card with so I had to be picky about what to take ( It still had the images from devils run at the time)
Foose was there signing autographs last year ( So was his HOT WIFE)

I'm not like most people on here that bitch about car show's only having import or classics, I love many different cars from the old stanly steamers to a brand new exotic or import, or the new muscle car.... so a show like that could could get large like the devils run it would draw the younger people who are mostly into imports and also draw the older people that are into the older cars!!!!! I was only going to do devils run this year as a participant (no money for more mods) but I'd do that one... hopefully your talking to them as an outdoor one.
As long as the cars are center stage I'm there!!!!

i dont think loud music, fog machines and lasers will go over to well with the JCCC.

If I can get anything through to the guys from JCCC I met last year, things will be different next year! I like the venue, but it seemed WAY to dull. They need something exciting to bring out cars like ours in the winter.Like what are some of your ideas? Some of us are open to the suggestions, and want more tuners there, others arent. I want more tuners there. I like cars that are interesting to look at, restorations just dont do that for me and a lot of people, problem is we need more custom cars in the show to replace them.
And STiChucky is right, we wouldnt go for fog machines, lasers, or loud music.
I enjoy tuner cars as much as I do an old hot rod, the same amount of attention and detail are put into them as the guys with hot rods do. And I guess to me the main point of going to a car show is to see cars. I'd rather not have to look through fog or get the shots on my camera f'ed up cause some laser shot at the wrong time, or have to listen to techno and rap music all day long.

PREACH IT FELLO (ACTUAL) CAR GUY
althought I do like loud music but at a car show I like to chat with other actual car guys and take pictures and enjoy the cars!!!!!
just like when you go to sporting events now it's not about the game it's about the constant bombardment of music clips now
