I'd give it a d16 vtec (d16z6 or d16y8) for a nice little power boost, then turbo that later. Its pretty much a direct swap if I remember correctly. And the tranny that comes with those engines is real short and should suit your acceleration needs.

And I'd like to try to talk you out of the 17's. 15's or 16's maybe?

      They call me, old man...

i would do a d16z6 or d16y8 swap. but if you want something alittle bit bigger motor wise i would try for a b16 or a LS/vtec. for exhaust it depends on what style your looking for. sometime if your get a performance exhaust it might be really loud, at least the one i had was. you might be able to find an exhaust system that is queit when your off the gas and it will be louder when you get on it. if you have any questions you can send me a pm and i will try to help you out as much as possible.

Those trannies won't go into CRX's without a conversion kit cuz they are hydro and CRXs are cable. But find an Si tranny if you go with d-series.

I have been looking at things, the B16A seems like a good engine, makes quite a bit of power. What do you think?

Maybe I should just buy this. I could convert the car to right hand drive too, lol. I wish I had that much cash.

Don't do a B16, if you're going B series, do an LS motor. They are very cheap, and perfect for turboing. I bet if you were to put a stock B16 swap and a stock LS swap into 2 CRX's, the LS would keep up if not win.

Contact teg2low on this forum cuz he has an LS vtec motor and like 2 vtec heads for pretty cheap. And he is a good guy to deal with.
