I installed 3" exhaust on my 2g, treimche's old stuff, and now I cannot control the boost at all. I have an SLS mbc, and it worked prior to the exhaust. It always boosts to a little over 15 now and that is enough to hit fuel cut. I am on all stock fuel, have a 1g bov, and uicp. I checked for boost leaks and I fixed all of them still no luck. Have any ideas? Would this cold weather affect the a/f mixture that much to lean it out so bad?

There are a couple things you could do... #1 Get an external wastegate...#2 Get a bigger o2 housing (atmospheric dump would probably be best)...#3 Get the turbine inlet and path to the WG ported...this will make airflow to the wastegate easier...

Buy an AFC, get a fuel pump and just use that extra boost to go faster...

            15? Shit... where's the 25psi?

            🙂

the old t-25 would be dead @ 25 psi, but I am thinking, just go for a fuel pump and see if that helps

if you get a fuel pump then you will need a afc.

amen, i had the 190, and the only reason i needed the afc was the turbo and 6 something injectors.

but if he's gonna end up modding his car more he might as well just get a 255 and a afc

3" downpipe is gonna make trying to run low boost impossible on that internal wastegate.

"Just because you know it all doesn't mean you can do it all"

"If you can't afford to do it right the first time can you afford to do it a second time?"

well I hope I can get there pretty much where I sit, but I am pretty sure I will need a pump to not hit the damn fuel cut
