BAH! I disagree, IF it is clearly someone else fault, their insurence should pay for your shit!. It isn't fair, if a 5000 lb truck hits a 2300lb, resulting in virtually zero damage for the truck, and a couple thousand worth of damage for the geo, the trucks insurence should pay for it. The end result is the truck having to pay virtually nothing, while the geo, who isn't at fault, has to pay for a good jump in insurence costs, and maybe a deductable.
Does it make sense that the person who got rearended should pay a hell of a lot more than the person who rearended the person?

no fault will cover you when something like a parking lot accident happens, parking lots are private property, also if the parking lot is gravel not paved without markings if you get hit when your not moving but your in your car and it's running it's no-one's fault according to the cops... it happened to me once and the insurance company came out looked at the area and my agent told me yep the cop is correct so no-fault coverage will kick in.... under this type of situation it doesn't affect your insurance rates (kind of like hail)...
also if someone hits you and doesn't have insurance and broke as f$#@ that you can't get anything out of them then that is also covered by your no-fault coverage...
