Hey thats pretty cool. It would be cool if we could somehow set up a "Bait" car. Ya know put the Alpine stickers on it and what not. Then set up some security and cameras. It would have to be a group effort and people would have to take shifts. The more people that we had the shorter the shifts would be. Anyway I was thinking maybe teams of 3 one guy to run a camera and call authorities and 2 others to do some stompin or chasing or whatever is appropriate. Anyway if people serioulsy wanted to do this I would volunteer my time on a weekend to catch some crooks. I hate thiefs and vandals and would love to catch em in the act. I think at the very least we should have at least 2 people per shift though. If no one likes that idea then buy that stuff Tjamz was talking about or at the very least those digital hunting cameras that sense motion and snap pictures.

Im game for that. Sounds very fun.

sign me up for one of those. if nothin else you could take pictures of your car going 200 mph

The only reason someone should flame about somthing along the lines of what I just said is if they are the ones breaking into crap. Thats why you have more than one person. One person to video the culprit and get em on tape and after getting some clear footage to call the cops, the other guy to stop a full out break in and hopefully hold em till the cops get there. Ya know a citizens arrest. People are getting fed up with thiefs and vandals. The car security system sounds like a good idea to but what if they rip that off as well? Or are wearing a ski mask or somthing and how well will that camera pick up pics in the dark? Just some questions I have. It seems that these burglaries go in streaks so this may be the start of one. Once words out that there is sting cars out there people we be less apt to break in if nothing else. Like I said it looks like we got 2 volunteers as of right now. There is nothing illegal about protecting your property if thats what people are worried about.
