    I find it hard to believe the WRX is on that list. Full coverage on it when it was new was less than full coverage on my former 88 Prelude Si (I didn't have full coverage on the prelude, just checked the cost). I was told by 2 insurance agents that WRX's tend to be among the safer cars on the road as well and relatively inexpensive to fix. I'm not disputing what you found in that report, just countering w/ my own experience.

        Neat article. Gives a good idea of what you are up against when selecting a new car.

        I wonder if the person that wrote that accumulated data from several different insurance companies or just got quotes from one? I know that rates can vary quite a bit between insurance companies.

        For example, my Jeep is more expensive to insure than my Mustang. Not sure if the age of the vehicles affect the rate and such though.

              with street racers like you runnin around, i can see why we're on that list.

                  Its a hair under 800 every 6 for full coverage on my Mustang GT w/ glass coverage. Not too shabby

                      I pay $55 for full coverage and renter's insurance every month. God am I glad I switched residency from MN to ND...That alone cut my car insurance almost in half 🙂

                              they aren't that bad to fix (body/cosmetic) OEM bumpers can be had for ~$150 each, fenders aren't too bad either. The hood is kind of expensive, but still not ridiculous....all prices listed above are w/o paint.

                                        Geez some of you guys are getting jacked on insurance. I pay $350 every 6 months for full coverage on my fully loaded 2000 Tahoe 4 door, and my 1990 Chevy PU.

                                          Circa $150 a month for my S-10 and my 240SX.

                                          Clean driving record, military, thank you USAA, you are the best auto insurance company, period.
