Ricers at moorhead high school

i noticed that this getting kinda old and not really on the topic of the mhs "ricers" but i just want to throw my .02 in. Im the owner of the black 2 dr civic that goes to MHS. i myself ,like alot of other people, did go through the "ricer" stage where i thought neons and leds were cool. in the last year or so i have put all of the ricer behind me and removed everything even close to rice stuff from my car. I realize that i might not have a huge amount of respect from people around here just becuase i turboed my civic. but i worked hard to get it done and im proud of what was accomplished. I am not just another high school kid that doesnt know anything about their vehicle. I consider myself very smart when it comes to this stuff and i think the dealership where i work and get paid to be a technicain would say the same. im sure that i wont be able to tell you the best and every possible way to make big hp in a vehicle, but i can almost gaurantee that i can explain in awsome detail how the vehicles systems work and why they would make power, which is more than you could say for some of the local people with much nicer and faster cars. i dont know how that makes me a ricer?
i may have a big exhuast tip but its a quality Greddy cat- back peice that i shouldnt have to catch crap for, i just wanted good sound and decent spool up.i mean imy car is not meant to be a huge hp track monster, it was done to kinda set myself apart and gain some power. i dont go out and rev at people at stop lights and redline to get to the speed limit. i enjoy honda gas mileage as much as the next person.
i think its kind of innappropriate to call me a ricer just becuase i go to the highschool or becuase of any other reason you may think i am one. i mean im just like anyone else that wants to modify their vehicle. just beucase i dont drive a 350z or a wrx doesnt mean my car doesnt have the potential to be fast or prove that i dont deserve respect for the things i have accomplished. im sorry for the rambling but i think its kinda nessacary to try and defend myself.StangerBanger96 wrote:
Black civic with turbo is Brandon Hjermstad. He will probably be fairly quick now, i dont know for sure but i heard someone telling me he plans on running 25psi soon....not sure though. im in the process of finding a used block that i can use for a mild build up. again im not going for huge hp numbers but i would like the get some better performance.

Come on guys just cause i dont drive my car to school everyday doesnt mean i should be left out.jk. Anyways i drive a 91 Eagle Talon and went 11's in it. I made 480 WHP last summer and plan to make lots more this summer.As far as going threw wanting to be a ricer i never did. My brother would never allow it LOL. Over all i think our school has alot of sweet cars in it and their cars shouldnt be called rice or anything. I mean come on we are all broke high school kids who can afford anything. Thats my .02

With that said, tjamz drives a ricer.

and the black civic i dont think its rice at all ive seen the guy a couple tiems and hese passed by my house a lot of times i think his cars really sweet and respect the work hese put into.. hese also raced my brother's old red gti not sure if he remembers but it was kind of slippery the guys pretty fastthe srt4 so what if he got it for cheap or what ever it dont matter it still looks nice
