Culpepper Traded To Miami
-
Vince Young is just another Daunte, physically gifted, looks to run first(early Daunte), and weak minded. Being that he looks to run, this will lead to injuries and then most likely contract disputes. Leinart, not sure about him, but a pocket passer is injured less often. It appeared the nerves got to him in the Rose Bowl and thats not a good indication of NFL success.

Not to shabby of numbers for being nervous, I think he will have a successful NFL career, just like carson palmer is going to have.

why have girly arm leinart when you can have a bad ass like jay cutler?
(as much as i hate to go against vince young, cutler will be the better pro protege...)
hopefully we trade up and snag a top 3 pick, and let cutler sit for a season..kinda like a palmer deal

your right, its hard to be a run first qb when you have the highest passer rating in the entire country. -

I'm glad Daunte's gone. Now lets make good use of that 2nd round pick.
+2 I personally dont think he was that great. Im not that big into it but I do think that they can do better without him

no team would pass on vince young if they could get him...

I can't believe all you fans are jumping all over a guy that just 2 years ago had the 3rd highest QB pass rating in NFL history. Yes, last year was definately an off start for him, but EVERY QB has slumps...he did have to get used to not having his normal go-to guy as well.

That is the easiest excuse to come up with. When did Culpepper gain the most yards of any qb in league history? Yup, pretty sure it was when Moss had his worst season and missed a few games. Don't forget that half the O line was gone at the beginning of the season along with the the starting running back and Offensive Coordinator. I attribute Culpepper's failures to those more than losing Moss.I am not upset that Culpepper is gone, but I hate to see him get traded for a second rounder and nothing else.

so he has been a good quarterback for three years and an average one for three years. I guess if I was Gm I wouldnt risk more than a 2nd rounder on a qb that just had three ligament tears and is iffy to have a good season even if he is healthy. good riddance to culpepper, we will see that he is average once he plays in Miami. If he has a great year ever, I will eat crow.......:icon_thumleft:

should we should adore him because he publicly emaild the media saying he wanted to leave minnesota, trade him, terminate his overpaid contract yaddy yaddy yada. Of course us viking fans are goin to rip him cause he betrayed us. and when that happens, you get you ass ripped on.I.E. he has the most fumbles per carry in NFL history

His passer rating is indicative of his ability of to run. No one open, run! This mentality works in college football. On the other hand, in the NFL if he runs as often as he did at Texas you will find him nursing injuries in a hurry. Also, if the wonderlic is any indication of his intelligence he will have a harder time reading defense then Daunte did. -

Wonderlic Shmonderlic, if you pre rank him cause of some stupid test, be that way...he's still a hell of an athlete and can polish off to be a great QB. Theres no perfect positional player stud comin into this years draft...Reggie Bush has size issues, leinart and his zip on his passes, Vince of course with his throwing motion after those 3, Ferguson M. Williams, Cutler yaddy yadda will probably follow behind.
But New Orleans signing Brees definately affects where young will be drafted
