Elisas Purple Probe Progress

This sounds like the definition of a money pit. I went through some crap with my Probe due to past owners and general maintenance issues. Your situation sounds a lot worse than mine was though. I love Probes, and I think once you get things straightened out you or whoever will be driving it most will love it too. However, replacing the engine, main engine harness, and possibly the clutch in such a short span of time sounds pretty shitty to me. I hope you got a killer deal on this car.

and everything is there for the NOS if i want to use it other than a bottle, i did get a really good deal on engine and stuff. I probably could have just replaced a couple things on the engine that was in it for cheaper than the new engine, but i figured i would just want to start over so now if i need some parts i have a spare engine. I am not sure if it needs a new clutch yet but i might do it just because i have everything out. I figured i should do all this stuff right away to try avoid future problems. No big deal lol.

Even when he had the bottle, the nitrous never worked. Shane is really not stupid enough to not know how to change oil, he is just a ricer, like you matt. Everyone went through that stage. I guarentee his car was NEVER as bad as your 1g matt. I hate how everyone hates on him and no one even knows him.

i dont hate on him i just dont see how he did not think anything was wrong with the car nor did he ever bring it to a shop to see exactly what the problem was with it, i mean come on white smoke coming out of the exhaust and then NO temp sensor and a place with a missing hose on the front of the valve cover shooting oil everywhere, i mean come on i had the car 5 min and i could tell about half the problems with the car thats the only problem i have with him, i mean he seems like a pretty nice guy and he did not give me one of the keys to the rims, and called him up and boom i had it 2 days later. i was in shock.

Damn, i sold my damn near perfect condition probe that ran perfect for $1500 last summer. It was all stock but in good shape with no problems and i just wanted to get rid of it for something else.
Good luck with it though.

I was hating shane either cuz especially you should know im friends with shane. He just isnt the brightest with mechanical shit.
He didnt fall off the face of earth. Hes a busy working guy. Has a 94 civic ex 5spd now and I was talking to him last night and he doesnt want to ebay the shit out of it. He was asking what I suggest getting since I own a civic also. He wants to have a nice looking car and wants to try and gain some respect back. Not sure if its possible or not but hey atleast the guy is trying.

He has heard. Told him today. He just thinks nothing really. Just happy he sold it finally.

The FSZE wouldn't make sense for him to swap. It's the JDM version of the 2.0 4-cylinder DOHC engine and it's very difficult to do it properly. The ECU swap is said to be extremely difficult. If kids dropping RB's into 240's and other random swaps in home garages a FSZE would not be out of reach. Wiring sucks but think of the ranodomness of the swap and also the rarity. If a LS1 can be dropped between the frame rails and function in a BMW 325 then fuck anything is possible.
