Anyone watching?
1995 civic hatch
vs
1989 rx7
on now -
yeah it was a good show. Its too bad the civy lost, that thing was hooked up. I dont know why but they reduced tire pressure and lost hook up and I think thats what killed them.
Fake nos bottle=LOL -
The civic lost due to a ripped intercooler coupler. The car had no boost gauge, no tach, it was just a thrown together pile of crap that made 470 whp.
Pistons + Rods + stock sleeves + headgames motorworks headwork.
That car ran 11.2 @ 130+ mph in testing.
The driver said that the civic wouldn't even cross the traps at the top of 3rd gear anymore after the last race. Under 100 mph for sure. Turbo cars blowing all the boost out of a coupler don't make much power. That thing was probably making 125-130 whp at the end.
The driver was Tony Palo owner of T1 Race Development, negotiator was Dave Localio (sp?) Owner of Head Games, and the car was owned by Geoff Racier, owner of full-race. Also if you noticed one of the wheels was wobbling it was because they put the car into the wall in testing when a slick blew out as well.

interesting. Thanks for clearing that up.

I noticed on one of the replays that it seemed that the rims where spinning inside the tire on the civic. Maybe that was just me, but that could acount for some of the poor launches.
