Who wants to go to Jail w/ me on Friday?
-
So that group that goes to the funerals of soldiers killed in Iraq and praises their death will be comming to Fargo on Friday for the death of that soldier. The sad thing is too is that if I said I want to kill them all and am not serious i'd still probably be put in Jail and they're still allowed to do shit like this. I thought the 1st Amendment didn't protect fighting words etc. and i'm pretty damn sure this sort of thing has many people wanting to fight and a whole lot more... Fucking scum bag piles of shit.
A preview for those who might have been living under a rock and have yet to hear about this group.

wasn't there a law recently passed that made their protesting illegal?(maybe I dreamed it)
SD passed a law stating they had to be at least 300 yards or feet or some distance from the site. The protests are still protected under the 1st Amendment somehow even though it doesn't apply to fighting words which this clearly is a form of.
Couldn't it also be put under slander too? I don't really know, either way, fuck these people.

Wow fuckin fruit loops.
-
I'd love to beat the shit out of these fucks. There is -no- excuse to pull the shit they do.

Remember that as stupid as it sounds, those people are expressing their right to free speech, the same thing we're over there fighting for... I know it sucks, but when this was a big deal in SD that's what alot of vets were saying. It's extremely disrespectful, but they are expressing their rights. I think the distance thing is appropriate, although.

Why would we fight for "free speech"? I thought we already had it.
I can't believe that what is being said by this group is not considered "fighting words". It is hard enough having to bury your child, but to have to put up with protesters is way too much. I know I would be fighting! -
Look at some of their sick signs

That pic is way too small to see. -
Wow, that chick on Hannity & Colmes was fucked up (along with her whole organization.) I'm with Dave on the super soaker idea. I agree it is freedom of speech what they are doing, but there are limits to that as well. From what I recall about constitutional law is that you have to right to say what you want, where you want, to whomever you want so long as you are saying something that is threatening. To me it sounds like they are threatening that their "God" is going to rain down a million deaths upon the american people and its soldiers. Sounds like a threat to me and should not be allowed. Period. Anywhere.

I would also be up for an anti-protest carrying around religious signs that promote tolerance of those different from you, forgiveness of wrongs and peace towards all. That would be rather interesting to see how they would respond to a few scriptures from the bible pointing out the ignorance in their ways.
