nope there is an advatage to that also. No or little rust and that make the car so much easier to work on and worth more in an area like this. if i buy another 240 or something im going down south, ive got a friend who is planning on doing this also

    PM me for:
    Sandblasting(I use glass beads)
    Diesel repairs or performance products.

its a good idea if you can afford the plane ticket, not get screwed on the description/condition of the car, and drive it home without any mechanical problems..

Getcher green hat, we are goin fishin.

The good news is that a one-way ticket to most of these places from Minneapolis is less than $200.

I drove to Chicago to get mine for $2900.00. It was worth the trip. People around this area seem to think they are made of gold or something based on what they want for em.

I bought my S14 in Upstate NY and my Supra in Phoenix. I also sold my S14 to a kid in Detroit. You'll be much happier with a car you drive to get instead of something of quality from this area. The cars just aren't up to par and the market is weird.

At first I did it for fun, then I realized I made the investment and had to do it!

I slid off the road and into an empty dirt lot.

Except for the giant drainhole cover that slammed into the bottom of the car and smooshed all the underbody frames and reinforcements. Plus there was some damage to the front suspension.

I drove it home and I'm not leaking any fluids, but it just doesn't feel or sound right anymore. And its not something I can just "bend back out".

I agree with you. I bought my turbo supra in omha, neb overall a good deal. I bought my turbo grand am just over the border from st paul,mn. In a small town in WI another good deal. Bought a really nice 96 roadmaster wagon in st cloud at a good price. Im happy with that.

Overall its a risk but the cars in town are crap. I bought a turbo grand prix in st paul. The dealer lied and I got my money back. You win some lose some.

If I had a decent cash flow. I would pick up old turbo and supercharged cars and restore them. Now im babbling. 🙂
