I just realized...

People are gunna do what they are going to do..... older cars become more rare as the years go on...... back in the 70's do you think that there were a shitload of 50's-60's model cars driving around...... yes there were..... they were all mass produced..... i have a 63 old dynamic 88..... back in the 60's..... there were thousands of them around, when ever i drive it, i always get older people coming up to me telling me how they had one, or how there parents had one...... and now, the last time i saw one that wasnt sitting in a junckyard rotting away was over 3 years ago...... do you really think in 8 years there are going to be many 89 CRX's driving around? I for one really dont think so..... if its over 25 yars old.... still on the road..... its a colectors car according to the government..... and thats the way its going to be...... and thats my rant for the day/early morning....

not to get in a big bitch fest with you.....
how many germlins/hornets do you see on the road in the first place..... there a rare car for this day and age to begin with....... but there were over 700,000 gremlins produced from 1970-78...... and now i have yet to see one personally.....

just cause its legally defined as a collector doesnt mean the generation embraces it as one... nobody had hopes of owning a gremlin when they were 12, they had posters of vettes on their wall.
edit/ i hope by bolding your statement you dont think im arguing the law with you.

thats just the thing..... this generation enthusiasts might not be to keen on the idea of an older honda (thats just an example) driving around with colector plates..... but just for the shear fact that that car has lasted 25 years on the road..... designates it a collector vehicle (according to the state)..... i know your not arguing the law with me, the law is the law...... and as of now, we cant change it.... i personally find the idea of colectors plates on an older honda (again just an example) retarded..... collector plates should be on rare collector vehicles...... not common mass produced cars...... and i hate vettes..... just thought i would add that.....

thats what i have been trying to get at...
the nsx, viper, enzo, evo, sti, supra, cars we look at as "wow i wanted one of those" etc should rock collector plates.. not a one of ten million honda civic ex you see everyday at the post office... regardless of how old it is.
edit/ or whether or not it is legally classified as one. just cause you are allowed to dress like twisted sister and talk like prince doesnt mean its sociably acceptable... you probably get beat up, and for good reason.
