I wouldnt consider it taking over the parking lot....its not like we pull up and start setting up tents or booths or something...i would consider that taking over a parking lot...

...but then again i'm probably wrong....this is chuck im arguing with.

Like Kirk said, it is loitering on private property if you are not there on business and the business owner has every right in the world to ask us to leave (see our experiences with Kmart, Hornbachers, the church on 13th Ave, etc, etc, etc...) Besides, I would think it would be a common courtesy to go in and ask permission first, would it not? Especially since we've apparently been kicked off other property owned by Scheels in the past.

yes, that stuff is all very obvious....but if there isnt any no loitering signs then there shouldnt be a problem....but yes it is common courtesy to ask for permission....its just kinda funny to ask for permission to park in a parking lot.

Or we could all go in and buy a pack of gum and then have a legal right to be in the lot 😛

I can't for the life of me find North Dakota loitering laws, ive tried the ND legislature website, searched their statutes, as well as the judicial website, and found nothing on loitering other than soliciting sex...anyone know where to find a more detailed and non-sexually oriented description of loitering laws for North Dakota?

Look for city regulations, not state. Loitering is a very local issue, not something normally legislated by the state government.

Everyone could use the Kohl's/Media Play/Team parking lot, since now Kohl's is the only business left there.

I was told that the information(s) place right off of i94/45th st. is public to people; it'd be like a truck stop in a sense.. so I don't think ppl could kick you out there, but the location isn't theeee best, but better than other places..
