MA Audio HK398 2ch Amp
-
I have in my possession an MA Audio HK398 2ch Amp that I no longer want. I believe it has a cold solder joint as some mornings when it's cool out the amp won't work, but after taking a blow dryer to it for a couple seconds it'll kick in and start working. I've talked to TJamz on the matter and he said it'd probably be something that Genes TV repair could handle if brought in to them. Right now i'm just sick of dealing with the amp and want it gone so I can replace it with a new one. I've had it for about 4 months now, and when it actually works, it works great!
After talking around with people i'm putting the price at $100. MSRP is $280, i'll 1/2 that for being used, and take another 40 off for being defective. Keep in mind that i'm in no real hurry to sell this amp and don't really NEED to, it's just a convenience thing for me...ie, no lowball offers.2 x 150W RMS @ 4 Ohm Stereo
2 x 200W RMS @ 2 Ohm Stereo
2 x 300W RMS @ 1 Ohm Stereo
1 x 600W RMS @ 2 Ohm Mono

Don't mind those yellow/red wires hanging there. I had to use 4 wires to hold the amp in place so it wouldn't slide around and get all banged up in the trunk...they wern't connected to anything other than being tied to my amp and frame.

good amp, I sent it to MA a couple months back when he had problems with it, they sent it back and said nothing was wrong with it, i tested it when the amp was cold, worked perfect for me...then a couple weeks ago dustin brought it to me again said it wasnt working again, i put it infront of the a/c for a night went out to the car in the morning hooked it up worked perfect again, hooked it up in dustins car worked, looked at his rca cables and they were all burnt brown on the inside, now i dont know if thats why the amp isnt working correctly or not, but it could be, the amp always powers on, just doenst produce sound.
