I think I found it...

Yes! it is manual. So... After doing some HARDCORE research, I have found:
-Stage 2 Exedy clutch 279.95
-eBay High Performance radiator w/ 1 yr. warranty $110
That fixes my problems. Eventually, I will need a new tranny, but for now it will due. 5th gear doesn't come into play at the track. And it cruises 80 without going past 4000 rpms.
Now, I have to work on nut and bolting it. It's got a few rattles, but i think I can fix most of them. -
This is what I would do...
You could save $179 if you go with the Exedy OEM replacement. 7th ave. has some used probe radiators for under $50 if you pull it yourself. You could get your transmission there too. If you putting in a new clutch you mine as well put in your new transmission and kill two birds with one stone.

Is that a kit or just a disc? I plan on going out to 7th this weekend after we take a look at everything. A question for whoever wants to answer, How much should I pay for a new Head Gasket. I am in 2 auto classes at school so I could get one from them, but if I can find one online for cheaper, I would obviously go with that.

I did buy the probe. I haven't read any of these comments before buying it. I talked to Brandon Vanyo with the MX6 and he drove it. We decided that the car itself was worth what I payed. I ended up paying 450 for it. I think ive figured out the ignition problem. If it is WAY to expensive to pay 450 dollars for that car, I guess i'm an idiot. I believe the tranny can be found around here for less than 300 dollars. From what I'm told, Highway 75 has about 10 1st gen probes with various problems. I Figure I buy a 2.2 manual N/a and get the new tranny and varios body pieces. As for the work, All of Brandon's MX-6 work has been done by himself and his friend Brian in Bria'ns shop out in Chafee. There, they have tools to do tranny/Engine swaps and yes Jim, I can put in a clutch myself! It holds boost and all the gauges seem to work. Brakes aren't horrible but definitly need new pads all around. A new clutch will be 200-250 depending on what kind I buy. I hope to pull the radiator out of the extra I buy. So to get it back to stock, depending on the price of a car, will be around 700-800 dollars. Like I said before, this will be a track car, not a street car. I could give a shit less about the body. It will be stored and worked on all winter. I hope to have a well running-high thirteen second car by the time it is all said and done. Nick, I was kidding on the phone, 12 seconds? maybe with RAIDER behind me, pushing me with the procharged beast! I'm asking for a BOV and a clutch for christmas. Gotta love the parents! Any comments are welcome but keep the bashing to a minimal.Sounds like you have a plan at least. I think a high 13 second car is a reasonable goal myself. If you're going all out track only then you might as well strip the interior and lighten it up some. Get some small radius but wide wheels and hit the track next year. Good luck

Definately dont go with an oem clutch...especially if you are plannin on adding hp. It wont hold up launching at the track with more power to it. I dont know how easy it is to change a clutch in a probe but ive got about 43 hours in taking out/putting in my own tranny(and no not just one time). I can tell you its worth the extra money to do it right and do it once..unless your time isnt worth anything and you REALLY enjoy working on the thing.

I have the 1st gen mx6. Same motor and everything. I have some plans for joels car. And it took us about full day to replace my clutch and I think we can do joels in about 6 hours. But we have to gut that fucker and clean up the engine bay.
-Relocate battery
-Take out power steering and A/C
-Emissions
-AirboxThen we should have more than enough room to work on it.

When I got home from school, me and my dad did some testing...
We ran the car and waited for it to start heatoing up to see where the prolbem was comign from. It appears that it has been in an accident and a support came back and damaged the radiator. I will need a new radiator, but atleast I know that the problem is comign from the radiator alone. I plan on going with the upgraded clutch and tomorrow I plan to head out to 7th to look for the tranny and radiator. Just updating your guys on the progress. My didgi cam isn't working right now, but when I get it working, I will post a buncha pics of damage, car, engine bay, etc... I talked to Mr. Miller(auto teacher) at school and he told me car quest has clutches but he didn't know if they had the upgraded ones. I plan on calling from school tomorrow morning to find out. -
This car will have more than enough power to spin the tires. Just a couple modifications. We'll have to see what kind of condition the motor and turbo's in. I have a feeling the turbo's shot, if so i'll throw mine on there, it's in pretty good shape.

A car quest clutch is total garbage...
