It was on Univeristy by 7th Ave in front of Sunmart, then it moved to 10th St. just south of 12th Ave. Just driven around I went thru it 4 times.

i wonder if they bother to run the license/name through the computer? in a lot of other cities that i've heard about sobriety checkpoints, they usually get about 50% of the people with expired/suspended licenses, not having a license, no insurance, etc.
there were a couple of times that someone wanted for a couple of felonies and a few other fugitives were caught

they also have to change the location as well; people tend to call the bars to warn them of the location and they let that info. go across the overhead speaker. It's funny how they get mad @ that when some people consider it to be "forgot the name for it" -- Whatever it means when the cop is completely hiding and pulls you over when you do something wrong yet u can't see em.. I'm sure someone knows the definition, can't think of it off the top of my head.

yes, i think it's something to the effect of the person knowing that they're breaking the law. ie completely leaving a store with a stolen item, knowingy selling illegal drugs, etc

I dont think they can check for that / arrest you for anything but checking for DUI during a check point

A while ago in the paper, one of the conditions that they set when establishing the sobriety check points was that they were only going to look for drunks. It's like getting pulled over for no reason, they cant do it
