360 > Wii > PS3 ??

The 360 does get hot but it helps cooling if you set it vertically. Every 360 that I have herd of having a "melt down" was sitting horizontally.Shit.
I don't have space to sit the thing vertically, otherwise it will fall off my entertainment system.

I think they fixed that issue...also it shouldn't matter as much if there is space underneath the console. I'm willing to bet the overheating was because people set them horizontal on carpet. The carpet just soaked up the heat and didn't let it disipate and after awhile it just went "melt melt" -

As of right now in my honest opinion:
Wii > 360 > PS3.....and this is based on the fun aspect of it all.

I suppose it depends on whether or not you prefer the interactivity the Wii offers or the graphics. Obviously someone who doesn't care as much for the graphics would definitely go for the Wii whereas someone like me who doesn't care so much for the Wii controller prefers something like the PS3 or 360 since the graphics/performance are better. A better way to put it might be Wii=360>PS3 how about that?

Look back when the xbox first came out and people complained on the size factor of those controllers. Now look how huge Xbox is compared back then when people based their first opinions on first impressions. A few hours of the wii and you are not going to wanna put the controllers down.....but you may have to due to you not using your arms in that way and just pushing buttons.

i dunno but amazon.com is selling the core xbox 360 on thanksgiving day for only $100....1000 of them will be sold for $100 and they go on sale at 1pm

i guarantee playin like that will get old soon.just holding a controller and pushing buttons isn't old? and how can you guarantee something that hasn't been done before? every games controls are different so it isn't like you have the exact same "buttons" to push in each one. different movements cause different results in each game. Nintendo saw a problem and that is a declining interest in video games along with people looking to return to a game to play again. Hence why the shied away from the HD gaming for now and aimed towards the interactive aspect of it to try and get the older generation and the has-been gamers back into it.
a lot of speculation came about when the nintendo DS came out just because it is different and has two screens and touch screen on one. I believe the DS is in the lead over the PSP. I have only owned a few PSP games, and have a whole lot of DS games. Maybe im just getting old, but id rather have fun and get involved with the game instead of just using the "old fashioned" button pushing.

for some reason wii is really appealing maybe its the fact that you can just have people who dont play video games normally jump right in and play... more of a social thing then a video game thing.although the gears of war commercials make me want a 360
I agree with what you said about the Wii, and Gears of War is amazing. But all will bow to Halo 3.:icon_farao: :icon_cheers:

agreed 100%. I will get a 360 eventually, right after the new tv. but for now, the wii will do justice in getting me back into gaming more.
