Wii vs. PS3

all you are paying for is an upgraded n64+gamecube= Wii not worth 249.99 i would rather spend 1800 on a ps3 like i did... totally worth the money and kills any other systemThe sad thing is, it really doesn't. It's far from being a complete, well rounded system. If you read ANY of the reviews by anyone that really KNOWS hardware, it's not all its cracked up to be. The Wii is really a traditional gamers system. I haven't really enjoyed games since my original Playstation. The Wii is WELL worth the 249.99 pricetag, and I wouldn't bother spending anything over the $600 pricetag of the PS3, and I would have a hell of a time paying the $600 off the shelf, when I can get a 360 or Wii and enjoy it much more. The market has dictated which system is better already. The PS3 was hot for about a week. Look on eBay, your $1800 was a waste of money. It's ok though, we understand you are trying to justify spending that load of money on a gaming system that will just go down in price...

No complaints from what I have heard for gamecube games not being able to be played. and for the innovation way of how you control the games is far superior to the 360 and PS3....just like the other two are far superior in graphics to the Wii. But we all know that Nintendos plan wasn't to provide a system with the best graphics, it is to bring back old gamers (like myself and the majority of Wii owners) along with the non-gamers. So far, their objective has been accomplished.
and like what others have said and commented on playing the PS3, the system doesn't go to its full potential, and from the complaints I have heard, it is having problems doing so with the current (and small) PS3 library of games. Only problem Wii owners have had a major issue with is their own lack of control and letting the Wiimotes go.

I paid 150 for the ps2 that I have and even though they have these "incredible" game systems out, I still won't go out and buy one. I think paying that much just for a way to waste time is a complete waste of money. I have better things to do with 1800 dollars then spend it on some machine that may have a few bugs in it.

I'll probably end up buying a wii, but was quite surprise that I couldn't find one in stock yesterday in Grand Forks. For some unknown reason, I was always under the impression that since this is a smaller market, there wouldn't be such a demand. I guess I was wrong on that assumption.

A few years ago I saw one at a pawn shop for like $20 with about 30 games....guess I shoulda waited.

I'm a sucker for new technology. I dont care too much for cost of things anymore. I guess I lost the feeling of value of a dollar. I'm sad, spend way too much money.

I guess Toys R Us got a shipment of Wii's and PS3's and as of right now all the Wii's are already gone and like 6 ps3's were still there earlier today haha
