i think the mom did a good thing, in my younger years i was kind of a bastard well more like a piece of shit to my parents. after multiple school suspensions, arrest and getting expelled from school my parents let the state take me and i went to this kind of half way house for kids, was there a couple months and relized how easy of a life i had compared to the other kids, i was stuck with other kids that were involved in shit like vehicle theft, gun possesion, assualts, and drug's
it kind of turned my attitude around and straighted my act right up, well mostly

Although he probably hasn't had the greatest parenting, i think she did the right thing cuz he obviously has behavioral problems, what else is she going to do. Either call the cops now and hope he learns a lesson or call them after he injures someone or soomething more severe in a few years.
