    Easy way to lower compression.

Yep, it lowered that piston enough that the skirt hit the crank. :icon_cyclops: I wonder how long it's been like that. LOL

The funny thing is it ran just fine!! I checked compression it was good. It didn't make any knocking sounds. Glad I decided to take the motor out and check it out! I'm going to start building my other block this winter with the good stuff as money allows. I will take the rods out of other motor and replace this one or all six...It only has one bent rod. I'll have some new slicks this year and cams, so I won't need to spray the nitrous shot the whole track. For what it's worth I only sprayed the 100shot I think once or twice. That was on top of 35psi!! 🙂 No pain...No gain!

That rod definitely felt some pain.

OMG!! You got pretty lucky Matt. Time for some upgraded rods. I wouldn't mess with using stock ones at this level.

Wes you can make a check for $1500 payable to me if you please. 🙂 New rods aren't cheap. I will get them for my other block. I really want to run an 8 on a stock block. I think with cams, new slicks etc I should be able to run less nitrous to get the same results. I think it's the nitrous that caused the pain to that rod.

(I'll even put "Weshole" on the window somewhere. 🙂
