One has to wait at the light for few seconds for his tree to light, the other has to hope that he dialed in properly and adjusted for elemental conditions so that he doesn't either A. Break out or B. Go to slow and get passed.
Race against people with similarly modified cars, no sense in loosing to a slower car, just up the league...
Hence the reason bracket racing was invented. To race against similar cars/classes....everyone is within a second or so of each other within a class usually. It rewards driving/split second decision making instead of fat wallets.

Bring out the average joe race fan to watch it and they wonder wtf is going on. And, even after you explain it to them, they wonder wtf is going on.

Turns out I was quite correct, it only took from 2006 to 2010 for you to figure out how to get your car hooked up. I'll prob agree with your 2011 predictions, at least at Top End Dragways. I'm pretty sure that is still the pecking order there? Or did you get the car to hook up there once?
