I would rather die from cancer than obesity.

            P.s. I don't smoke.

I wouldn't, I can cure being fat, cancer has a much lower success rate.

It's not necessarily obesity if someone gains 40 lbs from stopping smoking. I hope you're not serious in your reply there. Have you ever seen someone struggle with cancer?

I'm serious. Yes I have had 4 people whom are close to me die from cancer, so we are well acquainted.

If I had the choice to die from somthing I would choose cancer over obesity anyday of the week. This is a personal choice, I'm not trying to pick a fight.

I'm also not calling any of you fat:icon_salut:

Why pay to die? People who only smoke a pack a week or so, do the math and figure out how much you spend in a year. It will shock you.

Also for people complaining (or not complaining) about the weight they gained. I'm going to safely assume, you do no kind of physical activity/work out then? I for one would find it rather...astonishing if you did some kind of activity and simply resigned from smoking to gain such drastic weight.

Also I couldn't comprehend dying from cancer then obesity, seen way to many people struggle with that. However, obesity would be up on my list, but that's easily avoidable (especially now a days)

...Hate to say it, I agree with Dr.Phil (granted there are circumstances, where it is difficult to overcome) in the regards that "obesity" is the disease, not being fat. I just don't think anyone cares to take care of themselves anymore. I plan on keeping my body for my entire life, I might as well take care of it by not inhaling poison, dieting/eating right, and spending a measly 10 hours per week.

Sure you can, as long as you have a fast metabolism and know a day or two ahead of a test you should be fine. I know people who have gone through PRACS without stopping and never got caught.

I see so many things wrong with your statements here. One I am very physically active, more so than average and still gained weight when I quit... Smoking raises your metabolism, obviously you have to offset that but it is sort of a drastic change, not to mention the chemical dependency (withdrawal) you go through quiting, needing something to take its place. If you have never done it then you really should not assume.

Also if you are only smoking a pack of cigarette's a week I am sure smoking is not a major concern for you, as it should be quite easy to quit... that is less than 3 cigarettes a day. I would have to say that if you are only smoking 3 cigarettes a day then you are a casual smoker, smoking for pleasure, not physical addiction.

Also obesity is a very large problem in our country that is not being addressed at all. Obesity is on thing, Diabetes and, not to mention heart conditions are what I would be more worried about...

Now, Imagine smoking more than 2 packs a day and trying to replcae that with something. My activity level didn't change either. I just never got more active to offset the metabolism change. Now, I gotta work my ass off to try and get back to a weight I'm actually comfortable with.

I quit chewing this summer, I had done that for the past 4 years. Then I started smoking to compensate, been in the process of trying to quit for the past couple months.

Now, Imagine smoking more than 2 packs a day and trying to replcae that with something. My activity level didn't change either. I just never got more active to offset the metabolism change. Now, I gotta work my ass off to try and get back to a weight I'm actually comfortable with.

                                          Why thank you....

I was about a one and half to two packs a day, I know your pain.
