I need some advice...
I start a new job on Monday, but I still work at my old job. I have been sick with the flu for the last week and called in sick friday, and saturday morning. I went in at noon to work for half my shift,(6 hours) because they needed me even though I was still sick. When I got there I got the standard harrassing "does your pussy hurt to much to come to work" etc etc. from my foreman. I usually just brush it off cuz hes an idiot when he says shit to me, but the fact that I came in when I was sick to help him, and all he did was bitch pushed me over the edge. I wanted to put in my 2 week notice and do it legit, so I could possibly work there again someday, but I dont think I want to go back there anymore. I want to go into HR and complain about him harrassing me, but I want to be able to use that job as a resource since its a repuitable place and I have been working there for a while.
What do I do? -

Joel, just remember that he is a loser that is going nowhere in life..... don't make a scene as that is what they want out of you... entertainment... just brush it off and remind him everyday that your better then him by not responding to his lame jokes...

What I would do is put in your two weeks notice. Man up and tell him how you feel. Then when and if you need to use this job as a repuitable source, nothing will go wrong. My .02

ya im thinkin i would rather have the ref. but at the same time other job apps. want to know your supervisor most of the time, which would be your foreman.
but they never seem to call any of them anyways.guess that probably didnt heop much but thats just my .02 cents

not to be racist, but hes bosnian and he also mutters shit in bosnian all the time about me and has this word that means fat ass in bosnian that he calls me instead of my name. Ive never used a sick day except this weekend, and I am one of the only people who comes in sober( i work weekends) and I havent missed a single day of work in 6 months.

Keep in mind Joel, that it a former employer CAN NOT say anything bad about you when called for as a reference. If they do you have legal ground to stand on. They do have the right to refuse to give any sort of reference at all which often times is seen as a "bad" reference.
In all honesty, report it to HR and if possible find others who can substantiate your claims.
