I think that opening the gates for tech at 10 or 11 like previous years is a good idea so that way everyone can get situated and get more runs in

What has happened in the past is 20-30 people come 10-11ish, then they hotlap until about 2pm, then 30-70 more come, then everyone is burnt out and quitting before they are even told the track is closed. So when everyone is running from 11-6ish, they are running during the hottest time of the day, and that can happen again if it needs too, but I thought I would through in the idea of like 1-2pm - dark, and actually have people stay until then.... This can also make it easier for people from Minneapolis or Grand Forks or Winnipeg to make it down.... Just a suggestion, and if it isn't warranted, then we will keep the times the same!

            Thoughts?

I see what you mean. I like being able to get a lot of runs in early without having to deal with waiting 20 minutes between runs. I came up from Minneapolis for the street legals in June last year and it worked out well to have them early.

I think part of the problem is that ID, is exactly that....ID. They always start late and are never on time. Even at the street legals, tech starts late, then the track isn't ready when people are teched. So, the earlier we start, the more we actually get to race.

Well I am just thankful that we have a track in the area that is still open and priced good because of Tintmasters sponsorship.

I personally don't have a problem with when ever it start or ends. But the more time the better, and more time when it isn't really hot out(like jason stated) the better.

Thanks for the awsome line up of events! It will be even better now that my car has some power!

well you know if I had a car I'd be there 3 hours before start until they kicked me out or towed my car away, but one of the veterans hasn't quite talked me into racing the tahoe yet.

I see where you are coming from, and honestly agree....HOWEVER, this year is the first year they have added to their upper management (adding Jeff), and they seem to understand and appreciate the value to the TM street legals. I think this year may prove to be the best, over the past 4 years. Only time will tell I guess....

So what I am gathering thus far is that people would prefer to tech from say 10-12p with racing from 12p to dark? Anybody have a valid argument AGAINST that plan?

I'm just glad these are still going on. I'd race until dark. I'm one of those people that doesn't get out there until just after noon.
