Show and Shine - Fargo Tintmasters -
Where is the nearest beach to Fargo?Okay thanks for all the info! Now, i've got another question...
Are there any 18+ bars in Fargo? Damn the US for having to be 21! (I'm 21, but the gf is 20)

Where is the nearest beach to Fargo? Thanks guys!
Can anyone give me directions to get out there, starting from West Acres?

Where is the nearest beach to Fargo?Hey everyone!
I'm coming down to Fargo with the girlfriend on the last weekend of the month, and am wondering if there are any beaches nearby.
I'd prefer something around Fargo, or a close drive to Fargo, but will settle on something in minnesota. I could check the internet but I'd prefer to hear from all of you!
Thanks!

My In-Car Entertainment (Work In Progress)I did some more testing on the amp today. It seems that the problem is because it is not being ventilated properly. I picked up some PC Cooling fans and i'm going to try those out and see if that helps, just to move the air around the amplifier.
I also got a hold of someone to do some custom fibreglass work! So it will look even better than I thought!

My In-Car Entertainment (Work In Progress)Wow, it's been a while since I updated haha.
Well, the I.C.E. is working great! I've ran into a few problems, but that will be fixed next year when I have more money. My Alpine 4-Channel amp is constanly overheating, and I've already gone through 3, so I'm pretty sure they're just a shitty amp, and my Touch Screen ribbon broke (stupid, stupid me).
But here is my system, though nothing is final as it will always change
Screen: Lilliput 629GL 7" Touch Screen
4-Channel: Alpine MRP-F300
Mono: Kicker 400.1 KX
Subs: 2x Alpine Type-R's
Speakers: Stock Monsoon System750W Black n Decker Power Inverter
DVD/CD Drive mounted underneath my HVAC Controls (damn fiberglass broke today, so its kinda just hanging there)
GPS (iGuidance 4.0)
Running Road-Runner as a front end with LSX Void 3.3 Skin
Still To Accomplish
New Mono Amp
New 4-Channel Amp
New Speakers (stocker's are starting die out
)
Single USB plug-in in each A-Pillar
USB Hub under the DVD player
iPod adapter -> planning is all done, just need the USB Hub under the DVD player
XM Radio Adapter and a AM/FM TunerI won't be at the perfect 10 this year, as I didn't have everything I wanted done in time, but next year I should be there

I'll want to add up pictures, but I've still got some work to do around the dash (forgot to put clear-coat on the paint around the screen so its all peeling and fading).

August Show 'n Shines?I'm sorry if this is not where I'm suppose to post this, but..
I'm wondering if there are any Show 'n Shines happening in the Fargo or Surrounding Area's In August.... Preferably either on a Saturday or Sunday?
I'm from Winnipeg, and I'm attempting to organize a club trip down to Fargo for a show, but it's hard when you don't live there (We recently went down to Minneapolis for the Perfect 10 Car Shows show, and had a blast!)
The only stipulation is that is must be open to all cars, Sport Compacts (i guess?) and/or Pontiacs.
We all drive Grand Am's, and some Bonnevilles, so I know we're not welcome at every show and shine, hehe.
Thanks Guys!

My In-Car Entertainment (Work In Progress)Hey everyone! Just thought I'd give an update on my system. It should be together by wednesday! Everything has been bolted down, and now I just need to wire everything up.
-
My In-Car Entertainment (Work In Progress)Well, thought I'd supply a little update: I've stopped working on it because my car is in the body shop
Here's hoping I can have it all installed by Sunday for the car show

My In-Car Entertainment (Work In Progress)tjamz: Yeah, I've got my school laptop that I'm going to be using. Advantage is when I go to school I'll hook up my computer and then take it out for classes. I've also ordered an Auto Power/Hibernate module, so as soon as the laptop gets power, it turns on, and shuts off when the power is gone.
-
My In-Car Entertainment (Work In Progress)So, I finally got all the parts I needed for my In-Car Entertainment! Yay me, so now I'm in the progress of installing everything. Thought I'd let you know what I'm doing!
Headunit: 7" Lilliput LCD Touch Screen with LED Blacklit
Amplifers: Kicker 400.1 KX Mono, Alpine MRP-300 4-channel
Speakers: Sticking with the stock Monsoon System, but upgrading to 5 1/4 Alpine Type-R's, and 6x9 Alpine Type-R's next month(s)
Subs: 2x Alpine Type-R 2Ohm
Now, I am then mounting my laptop in the trunk and plugging that into my screen. So, essentially, I'm running a computer in the car!
GPS, XM, and FM Tuner's are plugging into the USB, and I'm also running two USB cables to my rear pillars so you can hook up USB joypads and play games (Mame, N64, Nebula, NES)
I'll provide pics next week when my car comes back from the body shop (getting my door repaired as some assholes broke into it and stole my old Type-R's)
-
Meet 2Nite 5/17I might show up, but a bunch of my stuff was stolen from my car earlier this week :(... and she's really dirty from the highway

-
Hello!Sorry to bump, But I'm in the city this weekend. Maybe I'll see some of you driving!

Who sells stealth bulbs?musthavemuzk: Yeah, those are what i'm talking about.
bubba: 194's are the ones that I need
Rexwagon: Thanks for the link, completely forgot to check out Andy's (tsk tsk on my half)
-
Who sells stealth bulbs? What shops in the Fargo / Grand Forks area sells Stealth Bulbs?
For those who don't know, Stealth Bulbs are chrome bulbs that light up orange, and the only shop in Winnipeg that sells them wants $100 for a pair

Favorite Car WaxIt's true, well, at least with the Armour all we get up here in Winnipeg (Don't know if the US has a different version of it).
Destroyed the dash on my Corsica and on the dash of my buddies Mustang, both of which were in pristine condition
I'd suggest using the NXT Generation Interior Polish. That stuff is amazing, as well as the Interior Instant Detail (also from Meguiars)

i had my car fully cleaned at Auto Detailing and Accessories . What they did was vacuum and shampoo the seats and carpet. Then clean out the air vents with little q-tips, armoral the vinyl. then pressure steam clean the entire engine bay. then wash the car, then buff and wax it completely. The buffing helped get rid of a majority of the little scratches in the paint. i would give that place a 10 out of 10. For $230.00 even, i thought it was worth it. car looked brand new like it just came off the lot in 1996.I hope they used something better than Armour-All. That is the worst stuff you can use on your vinyl. It may look really nice for the first day or so, but then it dries out your vinyl and it cracks.

Favorite Car WaxDuring the winter months I use Meguair's Gold Class, but in the rest of the months I use Meguair's NXT Generation Tech Wax. Best stuff ever (and smells great too).

Hello!Hello everyone!
My name is Chris and I'm from Winnipeg. Yeah, yeah I know I'm not from Fargo, but I'm in Fargo for at least a week or two every month just to get away from Winnipeg.
So I'll probably hit up a few meets that you all have whenever I'm in town, or you may see me crusing around.
I'm driving an '04 Grand Am GT. While she isn't a fast car, I always keep her in great condition and use her as a show off car for my Detailing service.
