Defrag, cleanup, do every maintenance proceedure to your PC if your having a hard time. Then only run what you need. Also the video mentioned disabling and turning off everything apple related in the applications tab of Windows task manager. Your PC sounds like it shouldnt have a difficult time doing it unless you are not following the directions to the T.

Yes, it can be done. Its a bit tricky and I have no clue how to do it since I have AT&T and they have the best service in my area. (chicagoland) Check out www.modmyifone.com. Thats where I go to look at stuff and get ideas.
My phone has only been jailbroken for only 30 hours or so, but I already have 4X as much software then I originally did. It was a lengthy process but well worth it.
To the OP, free up as much system resource as you can. What kind of PC do you have?? It shouldnt have that much of a hard time unless you are running a 1.4 ghz processor with 128 megs of ram. I thought those are in a museum somewhere. LOL.
When I watched the videos, it looked more hands on with the ipod instead of the pc. My phone was 80% PC, and 20% phone when it came to actually doing work.

Its totally worth it. Trust me. 
I dont know if Id call 9.0 and about to break into the 8s nothing special. Especially when its still FWD and still a stock short block. Its not GN fast, but low 9s and 8s are hard to scoff at. Its not the best platform to mod for a race car, but its fun. My regal has a few goodies ready to go on.

Ok, so I didnt mean to come here and be harsh. We all drive POS compared to other cars. I did want to touch base with you on a few things and hopfully clear up some misunderstandings.
First off is the 1/4 mile database on clubgp. It sucks. Theres another forum that a 3800 vendor started and they keep their own database for the top 25 and keep it very accurate. Heres the top 25 FWD page. Here is the top 25 RWD page. Not bad IMO for "POS pushrod" engines. There are quite a few more 3800s in the 11s but clubgp timebase is so out of date and no one submits there, and 3800 pro only does top 25.
Cornering. In stock form, you can turn a corner. Dont take it too fast. Modded is a different story. I had a 99 GP and had the GMPP (or 9C1 police package) sway bars and trailing arms along with Adjustable Konis struts and springs. Made a HUGE difference in the ride. Now I have a Regal and have the 2005 Grand Prix GXP struts and springs (bilstein) and those are miles above a regular wbody. I also have the GMPP sway/trailing kit as well. From a car guy that ignores me, after taking a curve and going straight for awhile sure do wonder whats under the hood of my grandpa car. Is a wbody an end all be all car in the corners?? LOL no.
Base models. No one is going to mod a GPSE unless it comes with the 3800. GM also stuck the 3.1 in some of the SEs and there is no hope. LOL. However, a SE with a 3.8 is easy. There are turbHo kits, you can swap the top of a GTP engine (M90 supercharger) just like any other 3800. In fact, lots of people use GPGT/SE 3800 engines due to the higher compression then GTP engines. (9:4:1 compared to 8:5:1) If I were to mod a GP all over again, I would hunt down a GPSE with a 3.8 and the ugly front end and top swap it with an IC and other goodies just for the shock and awe effect. FWIW.
14.5 in a hatch IMO is believable. Ive seen 13s from a NA civic hatch. It was gutted to hell and back but it was done. Even came to our track day. Very nice guy.
You guys can brag about the fast cars you have on your site all you want. There are faster. Example, a local area site I goto has a TT Ford GT and a Supercharged Viper. They dont post times or really goto the track so no clue on #s. They more or less street race for money, or are a hobby that is a weekend cruiser. Fargo ND isnt the racing capital. Nowhere is.
Trash talking hondas. Sad but true. You guys are lumped into the 90% of the honda owners. Which are the ones that run 16s and 15s and do nothing but appearence mods that are half assed done and look like crap. Im lumped in with the grandpa crowd with my Regal. I dont care. I kinda like it.
14 seconds and faster. I dont understand why its hard for alot of GTP owners to break 14s. I broke it in my regal first time out after only putting $100 into it and using slicks. No clue why so many GTPs or Regals get stuck in the 14s. Shouldnt really happen.

As far as PS2s and stuff, Ive seen custom installs in the dash itself, the trunk, the glovebox. Ive seen Car PCs done in GPs. Touchscreens. Pretty cool stuff. Ive also seen it in other cars. Not a big deal.
Its February. Snow on the ground. No ones racing. Everyones getting bored. I think in the spring time the talking will go down and racing will go up.
