from NDSCS.... nothin too special there... did they give you your diploma written in crayon with a gold star sticker on it?Yup, gold star kid. Seemed to work great I didn't have to try to get a job either. They heard about the crayon and my phone was blowin up!

Seriously, I would get the car out of there asap. He could get a new toureg by trading his in plus $9000.Yeah it books at like 8 so that was an option. I'm not sure what he is going to do now though.
I didn't ask darkhomo what the price should be either. I ask for help to see if the problem actually did exist because I am not there to see it myself. Every computer has a calculator on it. Thanks for offering to use yours for me though.

Gay shitWell for one before I had made the thread I had already figured out he was getting screwed. Not the anal screwing you are used to though. I made the thread to see if someone who worked their could check and see if this sludge shit was a complete lie or not. I didn't believe it. After some research it seems like it's a pretty big deal, I found some info on a few lawsuits against VW for it. Most of the shit I read stated that it was to the point where it had to be physically removed not the "motor flush" or diesel oil trick.
I didn't ask for anyones opinion. My dad owns a VW and he likes it. Great for him! He hasn't had a single problem with it. I've owned one and I hated it. Does that mean everyone should come in this thread and hate on VW? Is that what you have to do to make yourself feel better about your shitty life? Yes I am a mechanic and no I don't do oil/tire changes. My dad never asked me to work on it because they had planned a trip to fargo anyways so they brought the VW and the Audi down there. I barely see my dad so it never really even came up. I guess when he brought it down there he was only expecting to replace a sensor because he isn't even at 80k miles yet. Apparently there is a timing belt sensor that goes bad and gives a CEL when there isn't anything wrong. But he ended up getting talked into leaving it in fargo and doing the belt.
For real though what the fuck did you expect in response to what you had to say? I ask a simple fucking question that wasn't directed to you at all and you say this?

first mistake, purchasing a VW, second mistake getting any non warranty/non recall work done at a dealership (esp. valley imports)Sucks, but lesson learned.
Great, thanks for the help shitbag. After saying that do you think I'm going to take anything you say seriously? Fuck right off.

So, I WAS legitimately offering you some helpReally? I guess I'll take your advice and invent a time machine so I can take a trip back and tell my dad not to buy a volkswagen. I don't give a fuck if you are a mechanic either. You act like a fucking faggot on here and that's how I'll fucking treat you.
-
Anyone work at valley imports? You think I'm fucking retarded? It's obvious they are taking advantage of him because he's not a mechanic and buffed up on "car knowledge". I made this thread because I didn't buy into this "sludged up" bullshit and wanted someone just to confirm there was an actual problem and not just some fuckwad making shit up. The service writer has been shady as shit laying guilt on my dad like "ohh my mechanic wouldn't feel right just throwing this back together, it's like a band aid fix".... After some research sludge really has been a problem with these and other VW's. The 25 hours of labor I highly doubt though. You have nothing to contribute to this thread though. I asked for a little favor and got 3 pages of bullshit just like any other time I've been on fargostreet haha. BTW I AM a mechanic but my dad wanted work done by a VW dealership and there was some special tools that had to be bought so no one in Minot would do it.

According to the guy I talked to, it's common to see both the VW and Audi engines do this. He knew exactly what I was talking about soon as I said "Toaureg". For him to be in parts and know about that vehicle is saying at least a little bit. It's needed. If they work on the price, that would be awesome. Thanks man, appreciate it!
-
Anyone work at valley imports?Thank you. I just wanna make sure they aren't just making it up. If it's gotta be fixed it's gotta be fixed. I guess now they are trying to cut my dad a deal and somehow knocked off a few thousand. It just seems shady as hell. It's a dark blue toaureg BTW

First mistake, posting in this thread. I didn't ask for any opinions. GTFO

Anyone work at valley imports?Nope I think it's like an 04, Just getting the 80,000 mile service done.
-
Anyone work at valley imports?I'm from minot and my dad has his VW touareg in for service. Somehow it turned from a 4600$ timing chain job into a 9000$ job because of "sludge" in the motor. I just don't want my dad getting erked around because he isn't a mechanic and he's 4 hours away. If I was there I'd come do a check on it, kind of hard to believe IMO. I just want to know if there is any truth to this. They are talking about having to take out the motor and stuff and something just seems off to me.

Reckless Driving ticket claim- Legal advice please!nonamekid;306130 wrote:
He has no proof. Innocent until proven guilty. You do not have to prove your innocence, the court has to prove your guilt. His word is not enough proof, and the dumb cop should have known that, but it was a campus cop.Wrong, this is America come on now. Similar situation happened to me. Some guy called me in and said I "almost hit his daughter". That was obviously not true. Year and a half later I get arrested. It was fucked up because I didn't do anything so I didn't remember doing anything, and I was being arrested. Long story short, took it to court, he won. I got a 500$ fine and like ten points of my license. You better have a damn good story because if he really is a retired police officer you are fucked. His word is obviously going to have more merit than the "punk in the cool car".
