do you have any experience in doing the replacement in cam chains?

I have asked around town to see who would be able to replace the cam chain on my '02 F4i. If anyone on here could help me fix it cheaper than U-motors or Ma's i would appreciate it. Let me know, call me since im not on the computer as often as i used to be. 701-793-6579-Jordan

On the CBR i guess there is an automatic tensioner instead of going in there yourself and tightening it. so its already to its limit and i dont want it to snap cuz if it does...all hell breaks loose.

For sure. I was out riding last night and saw a few of you at the clark gas station on Uni. I was freezing my ass off but what can ya do? I'll admit it.....I have an addiction. I dont know about you guys but I'm taking the CBR out tomarrow night(sat). My phone says breezy but warm high of 56, and the past few days the temp hasnt dropped dramatically from the high during the day. So I'm gonna do it, you guys can join if ya want, the more the merrier. I guess the usually meeting point is K-mart on University so I will stop by there at 9:00 to see who all shows up. I set 9:00 so it will be more suitable for the late night workers. Hope to see you all there!:icon_salut:

I love it. I just gotta get the cam chain replaced, appointment is allready set up this week at U-motors. If you can believe it ma's cycles quoted me $200 for chain and ten hours of labor! then went to U's and quoted me $100 dollars for chain and 2 hours/3 hours max for labor. also the chain that links to the back tire is loose so that needs to be tightened. Im satisfied so far though.

I will be riding in the F4i I recently purchased. Ive been riding the past few days even though its damn cold out. Just wear extra protection.

Well just to let everyone know I bought the CBR that was for sale in the motorcycle classifieds. If you want to complain about how i wasted my money go ahead.

I am looking for any kind of street bike from the 90's and up. im not much of a fan of the early ninja's but anything for a decent price. prefferrably no more that 5K tops, looking more around the 3K region. any leads would be greatly appreciated. thank you all in advance!

cuz i got a decent amount of money in the bank that would help chop off a chunk of a bike. i just need something that will get me through the summer. if anyone knows anyone that has a bike for cheap thats decent let me know, id deeply appreciate it. thanks

thank you bassplayer, im hearing it from both sides buy a smaller one and build up. then others say, get what you think youd be suitable with. i read a few reviews and a majority of them said that if you know how do drive a manual trans car it helps ALOT with driving a manual bike. looks like a good bike though.

yeah. i like everyones opinion on the bike conversation. i have 200sx right now but is not exactly legal since i got in an accident a few weeks ago so there are no headlights, right corner lense, and bumper/grille.

So im looking for something that would be inexpensive that i could drive day and night besides the Honda. i aggree with you gary that an expensive bike, making payments and only dirving it 6, maybe 7 months out of the year would be dumb.

so im looking around for a bike under 5K, cuz back to the Z i never planned on driving that in the winter or rain. so buying a bike thats cheaper doesnt sound that unintelligent to me.

to answer capitalj's question, i never exchanged money. how it went was he sent me AND my banker photographs and a copy of the title to show that the owner actually is the owner and get the loan on the way. i am just disappointed about the fact that he would do all of that and then call me the next day after we had this all settled since last fall that i was to purchase it and tell me that he wants to keep it. he told me the reason was because he didnt want me to drive all the way down there and be disapointed in case it wasnt what i thought it would be.

imo think the truth is either he decided he loved it too much or he got a better offer. idk but i shouldnt keep whining about this car. just that i love nissans with a passion and i think the old Z32's are way better than the Z33's....
