PS3- you can play games on it and watch blu-ray's on it win win. the player dose need updates but it is just a click away on the ps3. I have one and i like it because i can use it for both for game and blu-ray.
360- just game they dont make hd-dvd any more.
and if the movie part has no take on this then i would go with the 360.
I like them both .if it is two hard to deside just get them both over time.

Just rember you get what you pay for. I would go with LCD (if you going to be doing more gameing then movies) and if you going to be watching more movie i would go with Plasma LG it is the top ratings for plasmas but it is all up to you.

i hope that get what is comeing to them that is not needed to do. what ever happing to just up and leaving.
