Just a reminder to everyone, the Tintmasters Street Legal rain make-up is this Saturday (July 7th)
The forecast looks great, sunny and a nice warm day.
Gates will be open at 10, tech starts at 11, racing starts at 12.

actually they equal less bang as they burn colder... but they do mean cooler temps in the combustion chamber which means more fuel and oxygen can be added to make more power. Because it is harder to ignite (making it more resistant to knock ie higher octane) you can adjust your timing to be a bit more aggressive as well.
A+ for taking the time to explain it properly. I was just feeling a bit lazy.
We have scheduled a rain make-up day for the Tintmasters Street Legal that was cancelled this weekend (June 16th). The make-up day will be Saturday July 7th. Please spread the word and let everyone know!
A phone line has been cut somewhere near the track and our phone/internet services are down.
This means we cannot process credit cards and unfortunately we will have to be cash only for Saturday.
We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause.
Like Dave said, and Doctor can do a NHRA physical, It's pretty much a standard physical. I personally (and know a few others) go to that 7-Day clinic and have it done. But call ahead and make sure a Dr. is actually there. Alot of times they have PA's there and say they can do it but if a PA signs the physical it will get sent back to you.

Past Bills old best time.... I guarantee 7.63 wont cut it in 2012.
I will make sure Wayne is expecting your call Dave...
the bigger nitrous shot will get me past Bills old time, the extra 10 psi this year will get me a little further.
Wayne is on my speed dial.

Sure - keep in mind this was on a small 34" wingspan aerobatic plane - the one I would build would be much bigger, smoother, quieter, and uh, easier to land...
Apologies for the huge file, 174mb.

Thats really cool! I'm sure it would be great with quieter and more stable plane.

paint code CY
Competition Orange FTW!
Dont need the paint code for that ugly ass Ford color, a Chevy is going to win that deal. So I will use the Chevy Orange color code !!! Thx for your input.

That is just absolutely amazing. How does he get the "zig-zag" effect? Iv messed around with a tig before, and can lay a pretty decent bead, but this just blows me away.
He uses a method called "Walking the cup". Its a method a lot of very experienced welders use to get consistency in welds. they actually rest the gas lense on the metal they are welding.
