Does any one know which body shops do the best work and which ones are the most expensive? I just found out that North Dakota you need to have 75% damage to make your car totaled. I am hoping that it is, but I guess I really dont know the extent of the damage completley. I have went to Gateway Collision once and they had horrible service, did bad work, and were slow....

quality and northwest are probaly gonna give u the highest est. and as far as how good their work is i wouldnt pay any shop in town to do any body/paint work pretty much just mud slinging hacks
the place that tufte got his lexus done has been the only place ive seen that still takes pride in their work, cant think of the name right now

I just had to do this for my legacy within the last month. The 2 most expensive ways to go are:

              1. Fargos Finest Auto-Body on 2nd ave N. In fargo <--family owned and operated for a million years. Their work is worth every penny.

              2. A dealership. The dealership will always charge the most, but many times will estimate less to entice you (so i was told by a few mechanics).

Fargo's finest way perfectly willing to pad my bill when i told them i was hit by a contractors work vehicle. The dealerships will do the same.

I really did the research on this too, I got about 12 estimates. from all over town. pluis talking to my father-in-law (mechanic) and a few others (all mechanics/body guys) I ended up making about 900$ off the accident. For yours, you should be golden.

Progressive Auto in south Fargo was the highest estimate when my girlfriend got hit, she had the work done there and I was very impressed with the work and they were very easy to work with

Made $$$?? Tell me more.. I'm in the process of dealing with an insurnace company w/ an accident that happened in Early Oct. They finally told me that they'd take care of it but wanted an address. I got 3 Estimates right away; Quality, NWest, and a Dealer. Quality was the Most.. North West seemed to be the best of the 3 from what I had noticed.

In my accident, the insurance company made an estimate and wrote the check in my name, so in-turn I made $$$ as well.

Dahls in the moorhead industrial park, high estimates. extremely aswome work. the places like NZ and ET(or what ever they are going to be called now)

if there is no loan on the vehicle it is your choice to do what you want with the vehicle, fix or not fix. so just ask for the $$$. we did this with both my dads old trucks, the one got somewhat sideswiped, we just buffed it and left the dent and got like $1200 and my dads last truck got rear ended on main street and the damage wasnt really noticeable but came to around the 2k mark and he took the cash, and sold the truck. my nieghbor just did the same thing

I went to Quality Auto Body today and got a initial estimate of 6500, which didnt include some interior damage.

I had my eclipse fixed at quality auto body also, they did good fast work, lifetime warranty on labor and parts, and i came out with money also.

Quality autobody gave me the highest. Also, remember, you only need ONE estimate. So only turn in your HIGHEST estimate to your insurence, or they will choose the lowest for you.
