I have a d16a1 laying around from my Integra, but I got offered a FREE 85 Crx.

My d16a1 will bolt right in on both car's and I'm not sure what one to chose. Either way the car will be boosted.

What do you guys think is the better choice?

The old CRX does not have multi port.

Multi port fuel injection? Please expain what you mean in more detail.

The Integra has better brakes to, but then again they are swapable to the crx.

Crx is -400 pounds net weight

yeah mpfi...it has single injectors for each cyl....i believe that crx either has a carb or a single tb injector...the crx will not have the wiring to plug into the teggie motor

At first I did it for fun, then I realized I made the investment and had to do it!

Hit the 1g CRX and do the MPFI swap for sure!

Is there any chance of you ever parting out the teg at all, or is it a driver for you?

Ha I know what your after, too bad that when I'm done with the teg the brakes are going on my Crx. How hard is a MPFI swap?

I could use some help re-biulding my d16a1 Sean. ( I'm not sure if you have taken apart a engine before? ) I could pay your for your time in beer.

Well I will take that crx and see what condition it is in. That can't be that hard when none of it is in my car. Thanks for the information PSiedTSi.

d16 what? Is it the engine out of your HF? I'm talking about re-building the engine out of my Integra and getting it ready for boost.

They also came in the civic Si. I thought you wanted one back to stock, in which case I have one out of a 1990 civic si, I actually have EVERYTHING you'd need for a swap....I was thinking you were referring to the CRX.

EDIT - I'm a dumbass. d16a3 I have. SOHC non-vtec. Makes something like 105-110 or something. My bad.

Thanks anyway, I have no need for a d16a3. My crx still has the stock engine that is BTW a d16a6 the Si engine.

I was thinking you could use the d16a(Whatever the fucking number is) for the 85 crx that you would be getting for free, she'd have some getup-and-go.

Nope will not bolt right in, any thing after 87 ( Other then the integra whitch did not switch tell 89 ) will not fit with out custom mounts.

Yeah they do need custom mounts. Mounts would probably cost more than the car!
