I am getting myself a 94 Integra with a B18B1, and the timing belt broke. I was wondering if it would have bent the valves or not, and if so will any B-Series head work on it?

New Toy: 1976 F-100 4x4, 10 inches of lift, 390 with Edelbrock Performer intake, Holley double pumper, 4:50 gears, front and rear lockers, 38x15x15 Super Swampers. :icon_thumright: :D

well the valve are most likly bent. you can use any integra ls head from 90-01

      heads:

      • 90-93 b18a
      • 94+ b18b

and if you want an upgrade you can use a dohc vtec head and do a ls/vtec. this would require you to get a new ecu, oil lines(to provide oilto the head), steped dowel pins, a 1/8th npt tap, and some wiring.

      heads:
      89+ jdm b16 a
      92-93 gsr b17a
      93-95 del sol b16
      94-01 gsr b18c1
      94+ jdm gsr b18c
      96+ itr b18c (usdm b18c5)
      and the list goes on.....

I personally would do the ls/vtec swap. But if thats not in your budget at this time then just find a stock b18a-b18b head till you can.

Yeah, the LS V-TECH swap isn't in my budget, until i go back to school for auto technology. I cant immagine a head is too cheap right now either.

what about removing and getting your head checked? that would be cheaper, if you bent on valve get that fixed...

I know more then likely something is possibly damaged. I personally would rather spend the $20 or what ever to have a machine shop check out the head and make sure it is unusable before I drop $200 or what ever on a new head, when the otherone was fine.

            PM me for:
            Sandblasting(I use glass beads)
            Diesel repairs or performance products.

I have a bare LS head that is all cleaned up with no valves or anything, so if you wanted to throw some valves in there, and use the rest from your head you could.

I have actually seen timing belts on LS motors break and nothing happen to the valves as long as the motor wasn't very high in the rev range. I'd throw a belt on it first and see if it runs, then go from there.
