If I ever have a police officer fallow RIGHT my ass I just pull over into the next place of business RIGHT away. If they still fallow, I get out of my car, walk into the place of business, etc. They will keep driving because they are too preoccupied running your plates, trying to find something wrong. And if they do fallow you, they won't turn their lights on because they don't have a reason yet.
I honestly think police are just out to ruin peoples day, keep peoples moral down a little. They target specific cars so they are more warry in the future.
Follow.

So, it's no secret that there is a member of the fargo police that watches these boards, I'd kinda like to have him speak up here and tell us what his side is. Hell he could even make a different name so those of us that can't check his IP don't know who he is.

It's part of the job. You can't honestly say that if you had a badge slapped on you wouldn't get a slight ego boost and develop the "I'm above the law" mentality too. Perks of the job, and while I absolutely hate it because they aren't above the law, they do get away with stuff regular people never could. Every job has its perks, and any LEO can usually get away with stuff that cost a regular person hundreds of dollars and jacked up insurance rates. Obviously the bad ones give the entire department a bad rep too, and the bad ones are usually the ones that target people like "us" too. I think the good officers realize what they really should be doing and don't worry about ricers and stuff unless you're doing something blatantly wrong. The egomaniac "I'M THE LAW ROUND HERE" types are the ones that pick on any and everyone just to get off on the fact that they're basically in control.

I don't think you will ever get a cop to post anything on this topic at all. Then they wouldn't have an excuse to why they pulled us over therefore not being able to meet there quotas. Ive lost all respect for the cops in this area because of a few things that have happened and they did nothing.

5 patrol cars? For expired tabs? Waiting 20 minutes outside of a grocery store?
Complain to somebody. These are my tax dollars at work. I've never heard a fart can in town that was half as loud as the fucking harleys that shit around town all the time. I think fart cans are ghey but at least they don't piss off my dog when they drive by or hurt my ears at a stop light.
Also, does anyone know a lawyer here that successfully contests moving violations? When I lived in seattle it was standard practice.. everyone knew the short list of lawyers that made tickets disappear for $3-$500. I'd always rather give my money to the private enterprise of my choosing than the corrupt state that I don't get to choose. When enough people successfully fight tickets, the revenue service will realize that their easy money train has dried up to the point of non-profitability.

Hmm, I've never been harrassed by the cops unless I was askin for it.Doesn't mean it doesn't happen. I've had first hand experience and heard way too many stories to even question the fact that there are plenty of officers up here who have egos that are WAY too large.

I had 5 police cars and the K9 unit pull me over for going 43 in a 35. I was 17 at the time though.

I fucking hate the police. End of story.
Thanks for stealing my cell phone. Thanks for accusing me of stealing my OWN car becuase you didn't believe it was mine (registered to parents, accused me of having a fake ID, and that James Ross was not my name). Thanks for pulling me out of my window and slamming my face on my trunk because I was looking for my insurance card, hand cuffs feel great. Thanks for taking EVERYTHING out of my car and putting it on the muddy ground.
The list goes on and on... when I get shit stolen out of my car, when I get shit vandalized, when people fuck with any of my shit they could give 2 shits less.
:icon_thumleft:
I dont know hopefully they save my life someday or some shit becuase I have nothing but hate for them at this point.

Well it sucks the dumb ass fargo PD were fucking with you. Taht is one reason why I don't live in fargo is because of them.
For the past 2 weeks I have been working night shifts and getting off at 3am, and on my way home I have gotten pulled over 3 times with in 2 weeks for nothing, just because they thought I was suspicious and wanted to know why I was driving at 3am.

I have never been pulled over but been followed when i had my old car.(no one suspects a 4 door civic).

From the stories the police are dicks. But one of my freinds dads is a highway patrol and he has helped zac(no_slow_clap) get out of losing his license so i have respect for him, but not FPD.

I don't know why everyone has such a problem with police around here. Yeah, I dislike them as much as the rest of you for other reasons, but I've never had a problem with getting pulled over. Shit, when I drove the talon, it was LOUD AS HELL. I'd rip around town, squealing around almost every corner (shitty tires) and I never got pulled over once. Never even got followed. Never got followed in either grandma car I've owned, and still have yet to get followed in the prelude.
The only time I've ever had a problem with them is when things get stolen. They obviously don't give a shit then.

You'd think drunk drivers and drug dealers would be more of a concern and i'm sure there's plenty of them, but I guess who cares about that kinda stuff roud here...kids driving around are more of a hazard to public safety. The cops up here are just plain dbags. I've been pulled over much more here than back home...and I drive a lot better up here. When I got my exhaust ticket my car was never over 2000 rpms leaving the light, I know my exhaust sounds like shit, but it's not near as loud as most peoples. Only times I ever got pulled back home was when I had a broken taillight in my Buick and I was out driving late at night on roads that have lots of drunk drivers, so I was pretty understanding, and a few times for speeding, which was my fault so i didnt care. I dont hate cops...just the Fargo ones. My family has a lot of police officers for friends back home and we also order in all the guns, most equipment, and do gunsmithing for them. I respect those cops, they're all nice and would rather solve crimes and get worse people than kids driving. I think someone should look into that following and harassment rule, and we should start calling them in.

damn, i am surprised at how many people on here have problems with cops. I have yet to be bothered in my car since i have owned it.
