i just picked up a 90 ef hatch for $200 dollars. it has no honda rust and just needs a hood and two front fenders. dont have to get them bt there pretty dinged up. the motor is a d16A6 with dual point fuel injection.and needs a head gasket. im a huge noob to hondas but spanish rice is going to help me out with this.

nice man!...personally though...if you boost it, a mini-me won't really do you any good. the A6 is a very sturdy motor stock...basically, the bottom end will give out before you out-flow the head (stock heads are good for well over 300whp, which a stock bottom end cant really get you to)...basically you'll save yourself some money and time if you dont do it...just keep what ya got, but obviously do a multi-point swap...

btw...where the hell did you find a dp A6?...somebody musta needed a motor and just had an A6 laying around or something...

        nice man tho!!! fun/cheap project

Umm...u sure it's an A6 with DP, cuz whoever did that must have been stupid, If you take the effort of putting an A6 in at least swap it to multi-port or something, almost as bad as a guy on the crx forums wanting to put at D15B2 Dp into a teg. But anyways decent buy.

IIRC the A6 never came with DPFI, if you want a MPFI manifold, let me know and you can have one for free.

A6 never did come with Dp, I believe the DPFI engine is a D15B2. What trim package is your hatch. I'm guessing it's a Dx that someone swapped an Si engine into and was too lazy to convert to mpfi and used the DP head, beings it's the only one to come with it, the STD and SI's had mpfi. I'd suggest doing a mpfi swap, Dual-points are pretty much worthless, and probably a mini-me. If u wanna do something really sweet read this month's Honda-Tuning. They do a sick D16A6 stroker build using D17 internals...cept it has 13.2 to 1 compression, but put out 165hp and 135tq which is crazy for a N/A D16 non-vtec.

Oh I also have a jdm DOHC ZC (D series) swap i'd like to get rid of, all u have to do is convert to mpfi and it'll bolt right in, lmk if u'd be interested.

i think he would rather keep it simple and just boost till it blows. hes not really in the market to swap anything but the DP to MP.
