O I believe you can run a 12.1 with a 14b. Shit I think people are into the 10s with 14b's now. But not on a stock motor. I guess it comes down to "what is stock." To me stock is how the car comes from the factory
He had a 2g head/1g bottom....

I'm running a 14b on my car and I have noticed that if I don't shift into 4th at the end of the track my time is better than shifting even though I am pulling some pretty high rpm. I have even hit the rev limiter a few times. Maybe I just can't shift fast I don't know??

something probably just triped the sensor so the time stoped

Sorry to steal the thread,
but stock injectors? fuel pump? I'm assuming mbc turned up? Any head work?I'm just trying to find what is all done to the car. If 12s are so easy to hit, how come you don't see every dsm on the street running 12s or better? I've got a pte50trim, should i be able to hit 10s? lol

do a little research....
I'm sure he had some sort of walbro fuel pump, an AFC, and the boost to whatever a 14b can handle...20psi probably....
..if you watched the video, even they were shocked that he ran that time
and no you wont run 10's with a 2g cuz they're heavy as shit, the tranny will break and so will the motor probably.but like i said... sometihng probably tripped the sensor so it stopped the time at 12.1

Nothing tripped the sensor...but the car.

nope but you should be able to hit 11's, but you probably are in the 12's.

Sorry, I consider fuel upgrades and a tuning device "not stock." Granted yea that's a great time for a car with such little mods, especially a 14b. But you bring up a new argument now about a 2g not being able to hit 10s? What did Brent Rau run again? 6.94 at 198.47, pretty sure that was a 2g. 2g's are only about 300lbs more than 1gs, but yes your correct in the fact that they are heavier. You make it out that 2g's are horrible compaired to 1gs. Neither car has a great tranny, especially when the car makes good power. Yes 2gs are more prone to crankwalk, but that doesn't mean a 6bolt can't. And just to prove I've done some research a 1g dsm runs 15.3 stock and a 2g runs 14.9 stock.
Again, I'm not trying to be a prick at all, I was just really blown away with the fact that a "stock" 1g ran a 12.1 1/4. But after realizing he was on 110, and has other fuel upgrades it makes somewhat more sense.

As for your car being slow, do some upgrades, walbro, clutch, injectors, 'link, etc...You sound like you're heavy into tuning your own way, but once you get 'link you'll poop your pants from how easy it is. I know I did.
God dammit bring that bad bitch back up here and let me drive it!
I'm pretty sure a stock 1g runs faster than a 15.3.

You n00b dsmers are funny and retarded all at the same time. Kindof like those kids that had to go to class by themselves in junior high and highschool.
