"Custom Intake"
-
Wow, that is extremely accurate. Why didn't i think of that, i will never need a dyno again.
Im sorry but putting up that you gained power, and judging it by how long it takes you to drive down a street might just be the stupidest way i have ever heard of judging power.

If there's a noticeable difference who cares how accurate his estimates are.
If he's happy with the result then that's all that matters. -
Im not ripping on his idea of making an intake and if he is happy with it that is good. Im just saying, i wouldn't claim a homemade intake making me power without some kind of proof. I don't know how there stock intake is, but most cars intake really isn't too noticable for power. It can seem faster do the excess noise from the intake also. There are also way to many variables to claim by measuring time (air temp, traction, tire pressure, road temperature, barometric pressure).

well then....its not "home made" i bought an SUV air intake (which fits very nicely) and used some plumbing connectors to hook it on, easy. I did more than just "drive down my street" right away when i started it i could hear a difference, and when i started driving it i knew i had gained something because i'm now gettin up to speed faster. (not as though it matters) but I'm pretty happy with the way it all came together.

The non turbo was 180HP :icon_study:
3hp gain with a lot of noise

I never said that you didn't gain power, just that your method is not an accurate test at all. BTW, i have been in cars that had proven to gain 5 hp, and i personally didn't feel any difference but it sounded the exact same, noise does have a lot to do with how fast it feels. Not arguing that you didn't gain power, just pointing things out.

I think both JN's are silly ricers.

I agree with inspector01, your butt dyno doesn't count. You can't say your car made more horse by feeling it. Other than that its pimp i like these cars alot
