Me being as lucky as i am, I'm always getting followed out here where i live, Everyday or should i say night when im crusin home from my girl's house 1/2 the time im being followed until i turn down my road and then they leave. Now I have asked one of the local police out here why they do that to cars like mine (japanese sport compact) and they say it's just because they dont like them! I did tell him that i have been being followed and I didnt tell him what my car was (other than it was what they hate) and he says "Oh well, I really can't do anything about it" They simply just dont like my car. I have yet to be pulled over though.

Go on a ride along with them. Seriously. It will open your eyes to the bullshit that they have to deal with and it also gives you an insight into what goes through their heads during patrol.the bullshit they have to deal with....... so far in my driving career i have got a 29 in a 25 ticket, a speedcare ticket for going apx 30 in a 25, running a stop sign when i am positive i didnt do it and the cop wouldnt be able to tell because of the locations, and the only legit one of having no mufflers, ok mabey they do deal with shit but they also do shit, there will alwalys be a fight on this topic that is just how it is with very little middle ground so everyone has a right to their opinion even everyone with a good opinion about it

I saw an officer with an obviously bloated cop ego when I did my ride along but I also met SEVERAL who were VERY nice. In fact I was pulled over by one of the nice ones several days later at the stoplights by Concordia because I turned right on a yellow/red with "no right turn on red" (I was trying to beat the light and didn't make it). He ran my license, and let me go...this was at about 1AM too when they "have nothing better to do". If all police could be like this guy or the girl I did the ride along with the world would be a better place.
Unfortunately there are several officers in the area who have bloated cop ego syndrome and their preferred targets are people like us. Sucks for us, but if you are courteous and know your Constitutional rights you will usually be just fine.

Whenever I have gotten pulled over and have been completely honesty and open with the officer I have either gotten warnings or been given a break when I full well had a ticket coming.

I was not in the least bit cocky, arrogant, or rude and showed nothing but respect through the entire ordeal. Some police officers are just straight up assholes.

He still wasted 10 minutes of my time and doesn't deserve to be a cop.

So just because you have a bad experience with one person you stereotype the ENTIRE group?Neither I nor Jason have stereotyped the entire group to my knowledge...

No, I realize that you guys have not as far as I know either, but I know that is the argument/actions of a LOT of people on here."I was treated badly by ONE officer so they are ALL assholes."
Well all people that make broad generalizations are fucking idiots!

My dad was a cop for 25+ years, it was tough at times being the kid in school who's dad pulled over your class mates for exhibition or minor in possession(all water under the bridge). After a while though, even though they where pissed they knew they deserved it and ultimately had a great respect for him, one thing for sure is he would cut you a break once but if you messed up again you'd get written up. I don't know how many kids he let off the hook for DUI and MIC/MIP simply by giving them a choice, dump all the beer out now and head straight home or get written up and we'll call your parents, you can easily guess which choice they made. I had a lot of insight into his job as well, people complaining(literally bitching him out) to him while off duty in the grocery store, people saying they saw somebody do something illegal but would never want to file a complaint(Didn't want to get involved), seeing people that should know better(city officials) break almost every moving violation you could think of but letting it slide just to keep the peice, hearing the usual "Don't you have anything better to" speech after pulling someone over, and probably his biggest pet peave, getting a call because somebodies dog was running loose right as he was about to sit down and eat dinner. It's not the big things, it's all the small shit that adds up over time that gets to you, although on the outside he never showed it but I know for a fact it really did get to him. I do know there where a few people he said he'd like to beat the shit out of but he always kept his cool and used his head first, not his gun or night stick first. It takes a certain breed of person to be cop, the good kind at least, the ones that can see in front of the badge, not those that hide behind theres, those guys are the ones that make the "real" cops look bad.
Sorry, just brings back memories.

Trust me i knew Ichibahnkillas dad, he was a very good man and a great deputy. he would be easy on you the first time, after that hed let you have it, in all fairness some of the stuff should not have had a second chance, i hated him when i was younger with a passion and he knew it. i honestly dont know how he didnt beat the fu** outta me some times, this man has taken me both to the sherrifs office and jail before, yet he was respectfull enough to see past that as i was at his house quite often, hell i remember having drinks with him, now that said he never hid behind his sheild, what most people dont understand is not only do these officers have to deal with the public on the street, they also have to do about 3 to 4 hours of paperwork on some calls/ stops that only last 25 minutes, and a majority of them have to take this shit home with them, litteraly. just because one is a prick doesnt mean the next is bad. i have had my fair share of good and bad cops, hell there were cops back home that hated eachother cause their work tactics. sorry i hadda rant too lol
