Ya, my cousins used to go to school, have jobs, etc. Now one just plays all night and sleeps all day. Also, my friend had Kingdom of Hearts, he played it almost 24/7 till he beat it...bad thing was it was in my dorm room and he was in there till like 5am some nights....

Anyone played Kingdom of Hearts? Now that game is addicting.:DA colleague of mine whom shares similar interest in games with me told about this game, at first I was taken back, thinking Disney characters, how could one adult possibly enjoy a game with Disney characters? Then I played it....and the game is amazing.
But back to being on topic, MMORPG's are great games, and I'll have to agree with Tjamz cost wise they aren't bad at all. Blizzard doesn't make as much money as you think with there subscription costs, it's more of an offset for maint.
Do I like MMORPG's personally? No. But to each his own, and I won't discredit that the game is a huge hit and had to have done something right. They cater to their audience very well and provide a great atmosphere. And more along alines of what Tjamz said - most people who rule their lives over WoW A) Didn't have a social life to begin with or B) Have an addicting personality, whether it's WoW, or something else they would be addicted to it.
I had to let go 1 of my former IT support professionals though however because of Everquest, he simply crossed the line between performing the work done that was expected and when that interfered - I simply could not let it happen (this was over 3 years ago when my company was just me and 4 other people)

I found the perfect t-shirt for all you MMORPG guys. Seen as how this thread was brought back from the dead.

Why should it? I and 8.2 million others won't let the game die.If you (and the 8.2 million others) haven't checked out Lord of the Rings online, you should. It is probably the best put together MMORPG that I've seen to date. Good story line, excellent gameplay and amazing graphics.....basically EQ2 level of graphics/detail/storyline with WoW level interface/fun/gameplay/smoothness.

I've been clean since I moved to Moorhead:) I just haven't had time to play or the money to buy a game card. I miss it though, sometime I feel withdrawal but it's all good

Fair enough then. Obviously it can't cater to everyone. Much like I can't see why anyone would play WoW w/ so many other better games out there.

I'm not a fan of PvP anyways, so that is probably why I find it more fun.
