Is GOD real?

I believe that in an neigh infinite universe, it is impossible that humans are the highest form of life or consciousness, therefore i do believe in a higher power. whether or not that highest power is a sentient being hovering overhead waiting to judge me the way i've lived my life on black or white terms, good person or bad person... i'm just not sold on that notion.

there are topics in culture that have sides that are very set in their beliefs. The top two IMO are politics and religion. I've seen plenty of threads on both topics quickly go south. What he said.
I believe in a higher power. What that higher power is, I'm not sure.

I believe in god very much. Do i believe in what all the sold called other religions believe in...not all of them..I believe we dont get punished for what we watch, eat, listen to etc... I believe that god/jesus will forgive those that really believe in him and are sorry for what they have done. I dont believe god gets pissed for what i stated in the above sentence.
Now ethan letme ask you this do you believe in god? Do you believe that you will go to heaven when you die?

Its evolution over creation did we evolve from single cell organisms or did god just say and create.. i believe that there is evolution in all forms of life but i also believe that we were created.
From a biblical sense the world is 10000 years old give or take. But carbon dating says numbers up into the 100's of millions of years.

Carbon dating is a joking it isnt really that accurate. I dont know what to think about the whole situation what sounds crazier that we evolved from an explosion in the sky or that some cosmic being just said shit i think im gonna create people today take it how you want im undecided.

I believe in god.
I dont really go to church much because I work every weekend, but I believe in god.
Not real knowlegable either, you can drill me with questions and I prolly couldnt answer a single one, put its not going to change my beliefs. Sure its prolly a sin to never go to church, but I work hard and hopefully I will be forgiven -

All I gotta say is why do some Atheists and Agnostics celebrate Christmas? The only reason I do is because I am from a family of devoted Christians. It's a holiday I'm given and it's a time to gather with family.
This is the family I grew up in - I was baptized and I went through confirmation. It was about the time of my confirmation that I started to really question religion and realized my beliefs were not in line with those of Christianity. The fact is I do not believe in (a) God and I do not believe in a heaven or hell. I live my life for the hear and now, not out of fear for what may happen to me after I die. Where I came from is not important to me. Growing up atheist/agnostic in a religious family I've really tried to keep my beliefs to myself. You believe what you believe if you allow me my beliefs. Don't try to change my mind, don't force your beliefs onto me, and most of all DO NOT judge me because I don't believe in God (that is one of my biggest complaints - the view by some that atheists/agnostics are devil worshiping immoral people).

I've cast my vote, I'll stay out of the conversation as long as possible but this quote amuses me...

That ballpark figure goes WAAAAAAY past when god "created" the world.
