Love the 3800's I'm not much for general motors but they did something right with those engines. I like the color a lot, welcome.

Fast enough for now I guess. Didn't want to do too much with it since the tires sucked and always had a slow leak in a three of them, but now I got Goodyear TripleTreds it's all good. In due time it will become much faster I hope. This is after I finish school and have a larger disposable income. Although a smaller pulley is only $100 on www.intense-racing.com...

Thats GM's high quality chrome rims for ya.

Don't fool yourself, a smaller pulley is going to cost a good amount more than $100 when all is said and done. You will either need to learn how to tune, or pay someone to do it for you, plus you will need mods to support the smaller pulley.

Yup, the "Swoopies" as they are called on my bonneville forum.

I know that a PCM, rockers, open up the exhaust, etc would eventually be necessary along with the pulley. Bobbles just keeps bugging me to throw on a pulley and be done...

Tell him to shut up. Your car would actually be slower if you put a smaller pulley on with no supporting mods at all.

I agree with 94NDTA. I was once a pointiac dude.........

Do a intake and an exhaust of some sort for starters. Then go to the $$$ stuff and something that allows you to tune, and a pulley LAST.

when doing engine mods, cheap is not the way to go. This is even more so on cars with Forced Induction. Do it right or don't do it at all.

Ive got a Regal with the same engine. Rockers, exhaust and tuning should let you put on a 3.5 or 3.4 pulley. I ported my S/C and intake as well and Im running a 3.4 easy. Ill be doing a bit more tuning plus trying to find headers before next season. www.mnclubgp.com for some good knowledge on the 3800, I also am starting to know my way around the engine, especially with starter mods. The Bonny club guys know what theyre doing but ive got a couple guys that help me out on the gp forum. There are a few 3800's trolling around the forum...

Dont talk about your domestic car here to much... the import guys who cant appreciate domestics get all frazzled. Although I hate to say it, the Ford guys here aren't bad.

Didn't you get ported manifolds, jake?

You looking to sell them if you get headers?

Also, I didn't know you got rockers. Rock.

Ya I have a ZZP Powerlog for the front exhaust manifold.
1.9 mod rockers, aforementioned Plog, ported intake, ported s/c, 3.4 pulley, tune, 2 Magnaflow XL Turbos...

Maybe a few other little things here or there...
Hopefully Ill have some TOG headers, 3.3 -3.2 pulley and a good tune to put me into the low 13's. Putting on some slicks would help.
