ENEOS FULLY synthetic oil

Jason is right...no 0W-50 from Amsoil (would have sworn they had one back in the day....could be wrong). At any rate 0W-20 is a product we can compare apples/apples with.... maybe even do some makeshift tests. I'll try and stop by on Friday w/ some 0W-20 (if I can find any...I use 0W-30 regularly), I will give my honest opinions as I'm sure Jason will as well....who knows, I may have found a new oil.

the appropriate test of course is to run an oil, and then send in a sample for oil analysis after you've run it for a while.
I'm looking at running something called RBI Biosyn in my A4 because direct-injected engines seem to suffer from fuel dillution in the oil. RS4 owners are starting to switch to it because the flash point and lubricity decrease as the oil becomes contaminated with fuel. This was discovered because a few RS4 owners had engine trouble early on and a few more started having oil analysis done.
BMW calls for Castrol 10w60 "synthetic" for any of their current M cars. You can only get it from BMW and Porsche dealerships in the USA.

d00d...hondas can run on anything you put in them...
it does indeed look like a good product...I'd like to see some dyno proven gains by just changing the oil and nothing else. Also, is there a gear lube within this company just as Royal Purple, Mobil 1, etc.? JW because if it is as good as claimed, I could see a lot of people changing these fluids over as well.

The only thing about that is torbs, you may not put the same numbers down 2 identical pulls in a row. You would have to find a way to make each pull IDENTICAL(engine temp, room temp, intake temps......)

I'd probably look for other ways to find 2-3 ihp (internet horsepower) than by dicking around with my motor oil.
To help choose an oil, I'd monitor oil & water temps, as well as doing oil analysis to see if engine wear or other undesirable things appeared to be reduced with that oil.

The design and reasoning behind ENEOS was not to gain HP. That is one of the small benefits of running the best of the best motor oil. I would look more into the lubrication, applications, history, current usage (and whom), and the design differences from any other oil. Once you find the differences, research how the differences may be beneficial to you and your vehicles. I wouldn't continue to focus on the HP gains, but rather look more into increasing the efficiency of your motor, and what that can do for you in all aspects of owning/operating a motor vehicle.
