that is really cool, to help a person out like that. doesnt happen too often anymore. not to get off topic here, but i bought a disabled and homeless Vietnam vet a bus ticket to get him home to Michigan just before x-mas, kinda makes you feel worth while doing little things like that.

I still would like to know how a homeless person comes across almost 2 and a half cases of beer. Did he carry it around with him? There is a liquor store just down the street from Tintmasters...he probably went over there and got it.

Yes.....yes you are.Sorry, not too educated on bums :icon_scratch: I guess I just don't understand why he would buy $45-50 worth of beer when he could have walked to the Select Inn and got a warm hotel room to sleep in with a tv and clock radio to listen to.

Well after a bit of conversation, he had some lunch and we gave him a ride to the interstate. His name was Michael and he enjoys meeting new people and traveling with truckers. He is strong into God and said God is creating these journey's for him. Very polite gentleman with kids in Portland, and a few pets. He hasn't been home for 7 months and looks forward to seeing his family and friends...and pets again. !I feel sorry for his kids. He's out dancing in the snow 2000 miles away while they're probably among the ridiculous number of homeless people in Portland.

I signed up on offtopic.com to read the thread.... man what a worthless forum. :icon_rr:
I made it through the first 3 or 4 pages and then quit wasting my time. The average age there must be 14.

and as worthless as it may be....still the 6th largest message forum on the web.
It would amaze you what the "power of OT"(although 90% can be absolute tools), can accomplish through donations. I think at one time yesterday, there were 160+ viewing our thread at one time. We heathens aren't all 100% bad.

In that case, it's the best forum I've ever read. Very interesting and I can't wait to read the next page.
