Shouldn't a bad plug be the owner of the vehicles fault for not properly maintaining the car? Just wondering.yea, which is why i have tires at springfield motorsport. as soon as i found out, i bought tires. now my question is, how is it my fault that tires werent there right away to be put on?

I want to know how you manage to put a car into the ditch even with a blow out, let alone with a leaky tire?its not uncommon. going about 60ish around a long sweeping curve, and a tire goes flat. you cant tell me that you would be able to prevent spinning out in kind of situation.
there is a couple people that have had the same problem.

hows about an update on my P.O.S.
Currently the car is sitting at VIP garage. i talked to the adjuster and Marti this week and the car right now is borderline total loss.
the quote is 10,552.46 after the deductable and depreciation. kinda an ouch.
so depending on how this all turns out, it could very well be up for sale in the near future.

10.5K.....? totaled.not quite. from what i understand from USAA, its 70 or 65% of what what the vehicle is worth. USAA said the car is "worth" 17.5K. 10.5 is roughly 60% so if they find anything else wrong when vip taked it apart they are going to call it totaled.
what i thought was interesting was my oil cooler was completly smooshed, and buschur doesnt even use an oil cooler on their race cars.:icon_scratch: im still probably going to get a new one but i thought that was kinda wierd.
one thing i have a question about is if i do end up selling it do i have to pay insurance the difference for the new parts? or is that only if i go with after market parts?

What?
If you put aftermarket parts on they will only cover what it is to replace it at OEM part level, you pay the body shop. Now if its totalled then you can buy it back after they pay you for it. If its worth 17.5k, and your loan is lets say 20k then you will get no money extra and have to buy it back out of pocket and then pay to have it fixed out of pocket. If your loan is only 15k then you will recieve 2.5k in return of them totalling but you could still buy it back out of pocket. If you dont buy it back then they sell it to whoever. Then you can buy a real car, like an STi.:icon_cheers:
But dont worry, USAA is a really good insurance company and are great to work with. When I rolled my car back in the day they helped me out a lot.

no thanks on the sti. i drove one and liked it, then i drove an evo and loved it. if i sell it i want an FD :icon_rr:
but the reason i would with after market parts is, instead of paying 8xx for a new stock fmic, why not go with a 7xx front mount from DTM? not only with it perform better but i will get money back.
