    What I know about hondas:

    1. Good Gas Mileage
    2. Slow
    3. Burn lots of oil, even a brand new one(from what I was told....)
    4. Reliable if you check your oil everday
    5. If you put a turbo on it and do it cheap, you will blow shit up.

Really??? I'm gonna go with you don't know much then.

If my brand new Fit was burning oil I'd sure as hell be in the shop with it, but that's not happening and I've never heard of some ones brand new honda burning oil.

first i will start off by saying your an idiot.

now that everyone knows your full of shit and don't know the first thing to modding cars let alone hondas we can begin.

put a turbo on your d15, it is cheap fun and reliable. i put a turbo kit on my 91 4 door and it runs fine, hell me and inpector01 road tuned it. it ran 14.6 at 91 in the 1/4. and it is my winter car. i put the kit together for $200 and my only problem was a small oil leak.

just junkyard boost it. drifterextreme's lil 4 door scoots pretty good!!

That's kind of what I had in mind, I believe some people use the turbo set up off of a talon or eclipse and I know for a fact there's a few of those in the junkyard. 🙂
And I am well aware of most of the does and don'ts when it comes to turboing a car, I've done a fair amount of research on the subject, for curiosities sake, for the most part. I could do the old, hide the turbo piping in the stock air intake trick, I always liked that. 😄

he may be talking about s2000's, but they do that for a reason. now i'm not 100% on why they do but mine burned about 1-1.5 quarts between oil changes.

epic fail at faber being the first one to post an opinion on what someone should do to their honda.

get your facts straight please before posting about something you know nothing about.

seriously the amount you would spend on a b swap then effort into doing the actual swap would way overcome the price and ease of a simple d series turbo setup. a bseries swap (gsr at that) would get fucking stomped by a dseries on 8 psi.

people please, dont talk when you dont know things.

I have a little t3 outta my shadow project. 🙂 needs a little work, cleaning and such.
A turbo project sounds fun. put a little turbo on it and maybe a megasquirt?! <-- neat little gadget. I have been itching to build another turbo beater.

I'm pretty damn sure 4-door hoods/front bumper/fenders are interchangeable with a coupe/hatch. Doors/trunk are not, its longer too so your catback will not fit with out some modding.

However I did check the parts numbers on www.Hondaautomotiveparts.com for the F fenders, and the parts numbers are not the same.

If you want my advise for a fun DD, I would rock a B18b swap. If your considering a turbo kit even a small one to add some zip in your step I wouldnt do it on a DD unless you are skilled in the turbo arts.

In the 1999 Civic Si owners manual it warns you.

Kind of what I was thinking. Plus, if it's a reliability issue it's not like I cruise around like I use to. Usually to and from work with the occasional jaunt around town. It's also my only car and installing a junkyard turbo set up in a weekend is much more feasible for me, not to mention dollar wise, money's tight.
